Memorable Snippets: Part 3 - Yoshizawa Hitomi “Love Namida Iro Monomane”
Darn, I couldn’t think of a punny (… -_-;) title for this week’s Memorable snippets installment. I just have to mention that I feel as though this series is going to have a lot of Hello! Morning clips, because as I’ve been trying to plan some future posts, a lot of my favourite moments come from H!M episodes.
Anyway, this week’s clip is from the 2004 new year’s episode, which strangely enough, is the H!M episode right after the one featuring “Aibon’s Crime”. One of the games played for this episode was to name a song (a bit of the intro was played) and then to sing it in the style indicated by the host (Nacchi).
Really, I love almost all of these karaoke bits by the girls, but choosing just one, I’d have to say my favourite was Yossy doing her impersonation of Ayaya singing “Love Namida Iro”. What made it even better was that Ayaya was a special guest in this episode. So, this Yossy clip has Aya guest-starring, but Yossy is the star.
Ayaya is a good sport for the monomane, and you just have to love Hitomi’s exaggerated neck movements. This clip never fails to crack me up! There’s a bit of a repeating section in the clip. That was due to a commercial/skit break in between Yossy getting to the mic and actually performing her monomane. But anyway, on to the clip!

Maize, I’m loving these old Hello! Morning snippets, thanks for sharing.
I decided to give Hello! Morning a closer look after your comment about it being so much better than Haromoni@ when you covered my post (BTW, Thank You!) and have been loading up a bunch of episodes on my Veoh player every night. I am enjoying them, although I still stand by what I said about some of the bits being as dumb as anything on Haromoni@, but with 300? episodes…a lot of great stuff too!

@Chris: Glad you’re enjoying them! Sure there are dumb moments on H!M, and I obviously can’t call to mind every episode, but I’d definitely say there were great moments in pretty much every episode. The cast was just so animated and entertaining.
I find with Haromoni@ I can go through a whole episode, and while there may be a laugh here or there, it’s mainly nothing I’ll really remember in a few days. What H!M had going for it was that it had so many varied segments. The skits, the news segment (with interesting news anchors XD), and of course the games. All the characters could really pull you in. Within one episode, one of the girls could have played 4 or 5 different characters. In HM@, it’s basically just them, and most of the time not much happens (MouTube absolutely kills me… Not even the cuteness of their outfits can save it for me).

Yossui’s expressions are just priceless. xD She has each and every motion down perfectly….
Though, Ayaya sings it better (of course).
