Hare Ame Nochi Suki - Berryz Koubou & Inaba Atsuko: OMGWTF *dies*
I got home from work today and signed on to MSN. There, Charmy Renai of Shiny Days sent me a youtube link, and I loaded it up just thinking it would be some random funny clip featuring either Atsuko, Maasa or Miyabi.
Imagine my suprise when I see Berryz Koubou AND Atsuko lined up, and hear the intro to ‘Hare Ame Nochi Suki’ start to play. I nearly died!!! XD This H!P song is one of the nearest and dearest to my heart. So, for any other fans of this song, and I know there are quite a few, I thought I’d link to the clip here for easy finding.
It seems this clip is from one of the spring events that H!P did, and it’s supposedly on an FC DVD… I must find this FC DVD and watch it in its entirety!
Straight from the get go, I wasn’t all that happy seeing that Momoko and Risako (YES, RISAKO) got the Takahashi and Kago lines, respectively (funnily enough, I was telling my brother about this and originally said “Ai and Kago lines” and he was like “That sounds really funny…” XD It took me a second to realize why he was so amused with that). But, Miya got Mari’s lines, and Mari gets an entire verse, so I was slighly placated by that.
At around the 1:36 mark, something funny happens with Miyabi’s voice. It’s like she had a frog in her throat, but that’s okay. Her first line of Mari’s verse was a little shaky, but as usual, she’s able to pick herself up and finish it strong.
Chinami, on the other hand, had a rough time with her solo line, going very sharp. And what the heck was up with Captain’s voice? It was higher pitched and much more nasal sounding than usual… I was actually quite startled with how her voice sounded.
What amazed me was that Risako didn’t bug the heck out of me in this performance. I have no idea how that happened, seeing how much I love this song, and how unreliable her voice can be, but I think she pulled it off quite well, and well, Momoko’s a strong performer the majority of the time, so she didn’t disappoint me either.
I just have to say that this clip completely made my day! Thanks Charmy!

I have to admit I have to agree with everything you just said there. Momoko is extremely good and consistent as usual, same with Maasa, Atsuko and Yurina. Miyabi was alright, but Momoko stunned me the most
Risako however was soso/under average for me….while Chinami and Captain was just weird LOL.

@SecondBlossoming: We talked about this in chat already, but I’ll reply here too, to clarify for anyone else who reads this.. XD When I say that I think Risako pulled it off quite well, one must always keep in mind that I have a separate level or ranking for Risako… I do not hold her up to the same standards as Miyabi or Momoko. So, really, Risako wasn’t great, but she didn’t destroy the song, like she did with Very Beauty at the battle concert, or as I’ve seen her do with Kokuhaku at one performance (I’d say that screw up was worse that VB).
@Chris: Glad I could provide you with some amusement!
@JJ: Basically, my brother was laughing because Takahashi and Kago are both named Ai. It’s not a joke or anything… and my brother and I have a strange sense of humour (though it seems like Chris has a similar sense of humour XD), so I guess not everyone would be quite as amused as we were. ^_^

I think Risa got a problem in this song. She obviously sounded shaky. I’m a fan of Risa, but I can’t deny a this flaws. Saki was better. In fact, I think she’s the only one who could take this song perfectly. Yurina doesn’t look good with that oily face.
Anyway, thanks a lot for providing this video. As a fan of Hare Ame Nochi Suki myself, I enjoyed it too. (^o^)
