What’s New
“One Drop” short version PV has been released! What’s with JE always releasing only the short version at first lately? It’s kind of annoying. I want to see the whole thing!
Jin cloesups are HOT, Kame looks cute with his curly hair, and the dancing at the beginning almost looks…together? Must be an illusion created by the camera or something. Everyone knows that KAT-TUN refuses to dance in sync on principle.
In bad news, Kami no Shizouka sucks. Like seriously sucks and the ratings reflect this. It’s not Kame’s fault, the plot is just boring. Most of Kame’s fans probably could care less about wine! Sigh. I just hope he’s okay. I know he can be kind of sensitive and take his work really seriously….
Back to the good news, and maybe bad news for Kame, Maru’s drama is doing quite well. In fact, it’s currently sitting pretty at number 2 in viewership for this drama season. Looking forward to “Rescue” single stuff. After careful scrutiny, I think I like it better than “One Drop” though I definitely like both songs.
Finally, reader Soli pointed out something kind of interesting to me. Seems that a certain song by French R&B artist Priscilla sounds awfully familiar. Youtube link HERE. I’ve got to admit, the similarity to “Love Juice” is hard to deny. Coincidence? Plagerism? Either way, whatever. I never claimed to love Jin for his music composing skills.
Got to get to working on my member/group profiles.
I haven’t given Kami no Shizouka a chance, seeing as how Kame bores me to death regardless of the drama he’s in.. The only thing I’ve been able to sit through is Nobuta, and that was ONLY because of Yamapi..
No wonder KnS is failing. With such a boring story, boring cast (and I mean everyone, not just Kame), it was doomed from the start, I don’t understand why people are so shocked.
RESCUE however is awsome! I love the combined starpower, not to mention all the hotness! XD
I find the last part about Lovejuice stupid, seeing as Jin never claimed to compose it.. Some australian chick is credited, right? Plagerism? In that case, either from the credited composer, or this Priscilla thingy..
I wonder why Kame has curly hair, it’s kind of weird… well it’s much better than the QoP hair anyway
Jin actually took the Lovejuice music from Jade Macrae’s Low ( http://www.imeem.com/people/47k6uJ/music/VB66Iip4/jade_macrae_low/ ), and I guess Priscilla just used it as well…
My deepest apologies for double posting, but I just have one more thing to add about the last bit of ‘LoveJuice’.
To the best of my knowledge I believe that Akanishi had premission from Jade MacRae to use that song. He provided the lyrics and she provided the music and thus ‘LoveJuice’ was born. In addition to Jade MacRae, Adrian Newman also worked on the making of the song and one of the artists Newman has worked with is: Priscilla.
Coincidence??
Kami no Shizuku’s plot isn’t really interesting.
but i enjoyed Kame’s other dramas, Gokusen2, Nobuta, Tatta Hitotsu, and 1 pound Gospel. he was entertaining to watch as he’s a good actor.
but wonder if i’ll proceed with watching KnS.
and question, does KT really refuse to dance in sync? did they ever said it?
lol, no wonder they don’t look together when dancing.
haha i thought it was just me who thought their dancing looks synced
KnS is quite boring…i just like to skip around and look at kame do the hot wine pouring thing x]
About Lovejuice/Low/Un ami, there’s no plagiarism. It’s no surprise if Lovejuice and that Priscilla song sound alike : same composer (Adrian Newman).
Like Naina said, Lovejuice’s music is actually a cover of Jade Macrae’s Low, which was composed by her and Adrian Newman, but the arrangement (esp. the higher speed) make Lovejuice sound and feel different.
Adrian Newman is Priscilla’s composer since a while, and her song is the exact cover of Low (music-wise, the lyrics are totally different. BTW it highly amuses me how one music, with different arrangements and different lyrics and different singers can turn out to be such different songs XD)
the music from lovejuice are from Jade Macrae’s song Low. Jin changed that lyrics. and Jin did credit her on the Dont U ever stop lyric thing.
I always loving KATTUN song.B’cause jin akanisi kun.
i never know that KnS is soo bad ratings cause it seems everyone talks bout it (meybi cause theres kame on it).. to bad for him.
but i enjoyed kame’s act in nobuta & gokusen, wonder i’ll b watching KnS or not since u guys said the plot is not interesting at all….not recommended drama i guess??
rescue is great! good for maru, his first role drama got positive response
@reimin: and question, does KT really refuse to dance in sync? did they ever said it?
lol, no wonder they don’t look together when dancing.
i wonder if this related to ur question or not, but i’v watched jin’s interview long time ago. he said since the 6 of them hav their own style to dance (thats why JE seniors hate them), n’ its really hard to sync it…especially when jin always do the mistake. so, they just go over it, “dance with their own style” ^^;
Well, it’s not so much that they refuse to dance in sync (that was kind of a joke), but that they don’t really care about it.
What they really said was that they used to fight a lot about how dance moves were supposed to go and who was messing up, but now they just kind of all do their own thing.
hi. sorry for the late post. well, re:out-of-sync dancing, i just look at it as 6 reasons to watch the dance. i usually focus on one, then repeat and watch another hahaha! not that i need any excuse to watch any of their videos
i love watching them all. they have different styles, but they’re all so good, and their styles actually fit them! jin is not as ‘movey’ as junno, but his smooth moves mirror his voice. really. and junno’s dancing is all energy and movement, which kinda fits the way he is, i think.
Hey, just found the site, must comment. I had wondered if Jin actually wrote Lovejuice or if it was just a rumor. It’s good to hear nobody copied the music… not really, at least. Usually I get a little annoyed when they use the same music for different songs, because it makes me fear for originality in general, but I don’t mind in this case because it is way catchy. I’ve been listening to it a lot and trying to figure out why I like it so much.
