AAA 2008 Part 2.5: Video Interlude
So… I’ve done estimates, and I think I can keep my GIF/Screencap series down to 6… I think.
Before I go on with that though, I just can’t wait to show this performance. If you watch one Arashi performance this year, make it this one! (or make it a higher quality copy of this one).
Last performance of the last encore. It’s absolutely pouring (don’t worry, it didn’t start raining until the very end), and the boys just go crazy with this song. What’s it even called? All kanji, hmmm. 5, something that looks familiar, something that may have to do with rain, middle. I could certainly look it up, but I’m feeling too hyper for research.

They’re coming off a 3 hour concert, so you know they’re exhausted, they’re also soaked, but still, this here is pure fucking JOY. Oh, and LOL at how Jun just doesn’t want to leave at the end. Everyone else is long gone… Matsujun is still shouting stuff at the crowd.

Thanks for posting these! I really enjoy your commentaries. Random thoughts, because it’s late and I’m tired:
-Good thing their equipment’s waterproof.
-This makes it more obvious they’re lip-synching! (They were, weren’t they?)
-Did they change for the encore? Because I know their clothes are normally more horribly cracktastic.
-THIS IS SO FANTASTICALLY ADORABLE.
-I always try to figure out exactly why I like these guys. The Japanese stars in general, not just ARASHI (and I like the J-boys for their dramas more than their music, although the variety shows are growing on me). Most of them are hella good looking, yeah, but not so much Matsumoto Jun, so it can’t just be that. I’ve decided it’s got to be charisma, for me at least- they all have loads and loads of it, and that’s something you can’t really teach, even if you do brainwash them from the age of 9.

-I pretty sure they`re partially lipsyncing. lipsyncing the chorus and actually singing the solo lines. It`s definetly not all lipsync anyway, because it sounds totally different from the recorded version
-they do indeed change for the encore. usually they just wear the concert T-shirts, which they are wearing here
-don`t worry. there is no autograph signing. they did say that they usually go out to dinner together after concerts though
