well…. there are plenty of careers that involve lots of sacrifice with little compensation while you’re fighting to get to the top, so i don’t think it’s fair to make it out like the juniors are the only ones in that situation. I mean, I clearly agree that it’s a sucky situation, but I don’t think it’s a unique one.

And remember that there are tons of people who have it much worse than Johnny’s juniors.

I love making fun of fangirling the whole Johnny’s thing, but I don’t really like the system of JE. Idols are bad enough, but being a not-quite-idol has to be ten times worse. I mean, your life is basically on standby while you’re aspiring to be -what, exactly? A glitterfied mannequin robot for teenage girls to squee over? Do you really want this for your life? There are so many more wortwhile things to be doing. Wake up, sheeple!

I know that entertainment is important, but I don’t like to hear about people making sacrifices that they don’t at least get compensated for. Hopefully these guys get out before too long, because it’s just a little pathetic.

This is one thing I’m glad we don’t have in America, although I don’t know what the situations at Disney and Nickelodeon are for the kids in their shows and movies.
