Artist Profiles
This blog focuses on groups that fall under the umbrella of Johnny’s Jimusho, a company that trains and markets male idols in Japan. Johnny’s Jimusho was started by Johnny’s Kitagawa in the early 60’s. Its members currently dominate the Japanese music charts and have for quite some time. Boys, usually in their pre-teen years, enter into the company through an audition process to become “Juniors” . These juniors are trained in singing and especially dance, serving as background dancers for the debuted groups. If a junior is lucky and stands out enough, he may be placed into a “unit” with other juniors and given original songs to perform. If he’s really really lucky his unit may be chosen to debut, and it’s pretty much all screaming fangirls, magazine photoshoots, and staring roles in TV dramas and commercials from there on out.
On this page, I’m profiling the debuted groups of Johnny’s along with some downloads so you can hear what they sound like. Each has their own niche in the Johnny’s world, their own blend of personalities and music style. My two favorite groups, and the groups I write about most often are KAT-TUN and Arashi, so those will be the first to be profiled here.
I found you page two month ago. So I looked at this site sometimes.
I don’t know if I get it right. But do you buy tickets and sell them to someone who don’t can get one?
I’m asking that becaue I will fly to Japan next year with a friend. And we really want to see a concert of Kat-tun or News. But Arashi will also be ok.
Do you know if they will have a concert next year in August?
And do you buy and sell tickets?
I’m looking forward to your Reply
