Arashi 5×10 Concert Report (12/6)

Published by celestia under concert report

Just got back from the Arashi concert at Tokyo Dome tonight. WOW!!! Is all I can say at first. I don’t even know where to start. There’s so much I want to tell you! The whole way back on the train I was all impatient to get home and update my blog. Lol. Wait! I know exactly where to start.

THERE WAS OMIYA ASS GRABBING. Very important point that. And we’re not talking a quick grab and go. More like a relatively long period of fondling during “Hitomi no Naka no Galaxy” of all songs.

Okay. Back to the beginning. The tickets were indeed marked down somewhat. I got my seat some 15 rows down from the top (read: still really f*ing high up) for about $500. In hindsight, I really wish I had paid more for a better seat. It would have been worth it.

There were several songs on the setlist that I wasn’t very fond of. Then again, there were also pretty much all the songs that I like. I think, and correct me if I’m wrong here, that they sang every one of their singles (some of them twice!) plus like a dozen other songs. Crazy! The whole concert went for nearly 4 hours (3 hours 45 minutes) with three encores. Not to diss on KAT-TUN, but if at one of their concerts you get 2 encores you feel lucky. If you get only 2 encores at an Arashi concert you feel kind of cheated. And now some highlights.

-When the show started, the music starts and some girls are screaming, and I’m like “What? There’s no one on stage? What is going on…oh” for they were all suspended from a giant balloon at the very back of the arena. Pretty cool.

-Aiba seemed determined to dislocate his shoulder by enthusiastically waving at every single member of the audience at every opportunity. Bless his heart.

-Sho loves to do some sort of arm movements and try to get the audience to follow along.

-During his introduction, Jun accidentally said that it was November 6th. He made sure to get the date right on his outro though.

-Nino’s solo was the coolest thing EVER. He played the guitar and sang a sort of rock version of “Kotoba yori taisetsuna mono”.

-Ohno messed up on a line in his solo and said, “Ah! Machigatta!” (Ah! I messed up!) in a really funny way. He must have been flustered, because when tried to leap off stage at the end he lead with the wrong foot and did this really weird kicking jump thing. Both of these mistakes would come back to haunt him in the MC.

-The other solos were Aiba doing Pikanchi (accompanied by the Junior drum line), Jun with a swing/jazz version of Wish that was pretty cool, and Sho with Tomadoi Nagara.

-There were cool fireballs during “Truth”. Lots of other special effects throughout the concert. Water, lasers, fireworks, confetti, you name it.

-Ashita no Kioku was really nice because they showed baby pictures of all the guys. Not just the baby pictures you always see circulating on the internet/japanese magazines. There were a bunch I had never seen before and they were all super cute! Then, as the song went on their pictures started getting older until they were current. Then all the pictures sort of zoomed in together to form the Arashi kanji. That description might suck, but you’ll just have to trust me that it was cool.

-I also really enjoyed the medley of songs, one single from each year. Arashi in the plastic costumes was hilarious. Sakura Sake and Happiness are favorites. Believe is a BIG favorite.

-Speaking of Happiness. I swear Aiba and Sho were having a contest to see who could do the highest spinning jumps.

-I don’t remember when, but at one point, Nino and Sho spent a while running in circles around each other and sort of..flapping like birds? There were a lot of silly dance moments, but that one stood out to me.

-Sometimes they were on personal little float things with a camera-man. Jun spent most of this time shoving his face in the camera to the point where I can say with some confidence that he flossed his teeth today. Nino’s camera man had to dodge around because Nino kept trying to kick him.

MC

-I couldn’t understand all of it, but one of the first things that happened was Ohno taking Jun’s shirt off, much to the crowd’s delight. He unbuttoned it and everything and then handed Jun one of the concert staff’s shirts to wear.

-Sho made Aiba redo one of the pikanchi lines. It had an audience response part, so on the second run through, Sho said he wanted to hear the “manly version” with guys doing the audience response. Aiba said the line and…silence. LOLOL

-Nino called Ohno out on his mistake during the solo. Then everyone made him redo his little leap off stage over and over again. “Okay, do the normal version! Now today’s version! Now the normal version again!” and so on. Very funny.

-And there was the expected talk about Kohaku, Aiba’s drama, Aiba and Ohno’s recent birthdays (Nino said Aiba just turned 42), and a bunch of other stuff that was apparently funny but I couldn’t understand.

ENCORE

-Fight Song happened during the second encore. I think they set a new record for “fewest lines actually sung” Many were spoken, but Ohno sang one of his lines and Jun sang one…and I think that’s it. Of course, the chorus dissolved into a everyone jumping all over the place, with lots of fist pumping and “Oi!”s. Fight Song at it’s best!

-Gori Muchuu was great!  Jun grabbed one of the sparkly streamers that had been shot into the audience and tied it around his head. Then he jumped up on the stand in front of the crowd so those lucky bitches in the front of that row could actually touch him. Sho was waving his red concert towel like a matador flagging a bull.

-At the end of Gori Muchuu, there’s the “3,2,1 Jump!” part, but the band kept doing the drumroll and holding the last note so they had to do the “3,2,1 Jump!” thing like 7 times.

-They sang my girl at the end of that encore.

-After the second encore, there was no way the crowd was moving until we got another song. We started hearing their voices, “Hey? What’s wrong? Why don’t you go home?” teasing us. Then they showed up on the screen from back stage and pretended that they weren’t going to come out again. They said “goodbye and thankyou” again and then walked off camera (Nino leaving last with a sudden super-cute smile), but the crowd just wasn’t having it. So they performed A.Ra.Shi! Kyaaa! I will never ever get sick of that song. Ever.

And now, my feet are killing me, getting up for work tomorrow is going to be awful, and I’m a good deal poorer than when I started out. But going to this concert was such an amazing experience it’s way more than worth it. There’s something really magical about seeing a group you love in person for the first time. Until you do it, there’s a part of you that just doesn’t quite believe they’re really real people. I was in the same room, singing to the same songs with the members of Arashi tonight. How dumb of me to think I could even put a price on that experience.

KAT-TUN Concert Report- Monday 5/18

Published by celestia under concert report

Yep. I ended up going again! It turns out that if you wait until like an hour before the concert starts, you can buy pretty good tickets for less than face value. I ended up sitting in the stands (not the balcony this time) a little over halfway down. I was a little nervous because it was a fan club ticket. The guy at the door looked at my ticket, then at me, then at my ticket again. I guess I don’t look much like a “Ristuko Takada”.  He didn’t say anything though, and soon I was inside and home free!

Once again I forgot to take notes though, so I’ll just bullet point things I remember that were different from Saturday. If this seems Jin focused, it’s only because I’m Jin focused. Lol.

-You can see it in the guy’s faces that they’re getting tired, but they’re giving it their all!

-Jin did something weird with his lines at the beginning of “Keep the Faith” and somehow ended up still singing during the part where Kame’s solo line was supposed to start. Kame gave him such a, “WTF are you doing!?” death glare.

-Seeing Kame’s solo from closer, I think I might have actually been drooling. He could seduce a rock, even a male rock. Oh, and during Lips he was on the crane thing in front of me totally shaking his ass at the audience. What a little minx.

-Koki hugged Junno while they were doing the intro to his solo. Awww.

-Jin was giving all these exaggerated lovey expressions when he was singing at the end of Junno’s solo. He almost started laughing.

-Today’s guest was Yaotome Hikaru from HSJ. There was no Rescue corner because they had to get to the MC for the live TV spot, but he did sing Mayonaka. Pretty well, I might add, though I don’t understand why people would find him hot. To me, he’s just funny looking.

-At some point toward the beginning, I don’t remember where, Jin went over to the audience and jumped up against the railing a couple of times, so some lucky bitches fans got to touch him.

-Kame was carrying a Junior around on his shoulders during “No Matter” again.

-Jin got in a fight with one of the Juniors during “No Matter”. I’m not sure who, but he kept trying to smack him on the head. I think Jin lost the fight though, because they ducked backstage and then he got dragged out by his hood.

-MC. As you probably know, they did a live TV spot. Before it started, they told the crowd to cheer really loud since it was live TV. It was a lot of fun, but you can watch the video. Just a quick explanation for those who don’t speak Japanese. They asked them what the worst kind of guy is. Nakamaru is used as the example for “A cowardly guy”, and Junno as, “A not amusing guy”. KAT-TUN all picked, “A guy who lies” as the worst kind of guy.

-After that, they talked about their upcoming stuff as usual. Kame couldn’t remember the date something comes out (I’m not sure what), and all the members started trying to figure it out. No one could really remember, and at some point Jin loudly declared one of them to be a “Baka”, though I’m not sure if he was referring to Kame or Ueda. Also, Junno said that he was going to be in a Korean drama (lying), which is ironic given the TV spot. He feels left out because he’s not doing any outside work lately, I think.

-After the talk, Nakamaru did indeed do his bungee jumping! Good. I thought they might skip it. They’ve put marks on his helmet, Xs for the first two days he didn’t jump, and a very small circle for the day he jumped from halfway. He jumped again today, but only from halfway again, and it took a lot of encouraging. Two countdowns, lots of clapping, and chanting “Yucchi” finally got him to do it. Poor guy looked petrified up there.

-Once again, failed to win a poster. Jin read his ticket suuuuuper slowly. Drawing out the suspense.

-For the next part, they came out with new costumes! They’d been wearing old costumes from their last concert for this part, but they have a new set now. Kame has a purple pimp suit, Jin is in all black, Maru has some kind of soldier uniform, Junno has a white furry cape thing, and I can’t remember what the other two wore. Because you know how KAT-TUN hates it when their costumes match in any way. (J/k)

-The performed Moon this time instead of that seasons song. YAAAAAAAAY!!! It was really good. They danced with Japanese umbrellas.

-Today’s member corner went to Junno, and I’m ashamed to say that I couldn’t recognize half of his setlist. Some KAT-TUN fan I am. I think he chose some really old songs. During the first song Kame and Koki pretended to kiss a couple of times. THAT earned some screams.

-Second song was “Samurai Love Attack”…sort of. They did the intro part with the other members frolicking in a circle around Junno, but just as he was starting to sing, Ueda hit him on the head with a giant fan.

-The last song was “Crazy Love”. Oh! I didn’t think I’d be hearing that in concert again.

-When Jin was starting his solo, in a quiet moment, a clearly MALE voice yelled his name from the balcony. Everyone around me was giggling and trying to figure out who it was.

-For today’s TaNaka, first Koki did an impression of Maru during “Rescue”. Then Maru did Jin’s oversexifiedness during “DUES”.

-I don’t know if they did this before, but in addition to the “We are KAT-TUN” message, they had the people in the arena section make a heart with their pen lights.

-During the encore Junno was trying to change into a concert T-shirt and Jin dumped his water bottle on him and then ruffled his hair.

-Jin was the last one to leave the stage. He peaked his face out half way (so cute!) and said something, but it didn’t catch what it was. *EDIT* Apparently he said “Ciao!” Kyaa!

KAT-TUN Domucon Concert Report- 5/16 (Saturday)

Published by celestia under concert report

Just got back from the second performance of KAT-TUN’s latest concert series. What an awesome show!!!

I’ve been debating about how to write this report, since lots of the staging details have already been covered in a bunch of other reports. Here’s what I’m going to do. Anything specific to tonight only will be written normally. Anything general to all the concerts will be in italics.

So, I attended this concert with another American girl, but to protect her identity, I’ll just call her T-san (hope you don’t mind if you’re reading this!)

She took a picture for me in front of Tokyo dome!

The first thing we did was descend into the dungeon of concert goods (seriously, you had to go underground like 4 floors). I bought a penlight, a bag, and a pamphlet. I may post pictures of those later. We amused ourselves while waiting by playing “count the guys”. I think we got to about 10? Actually, most of the men’s restrooms in Tokyo Dome had been changed into women’s, probably a smart move on their part.

After we found our seats (not the very highest up, but pretty close to it. drat), I took a couple illicit pictures of the stage. The theme of the concert is the solar system. Each guy is represented by a “planet”. Kame= Mercury, Jin= Mars, Junno= the moon, Koki= the sun, Ueda= Saturn, and Maru= Venus. Now, if you’ve read the reports, they do a lot of stuff with the different elements (water, fire, earth, etc). That’s because in Japan, each planet has an associated element (think Sailor Moon). In fact, the Japanese name for Mercury literally translates to “Water Star”, Mars is “Fire Star”, and so on.

Oh, and one thing I’ve got to mention about the audience. The cheering and screaming for Jin was easily twice as loud as it was for anyone else. Three times louder than anyone who wasn’t Kame. Okay, and now comments by song.

Rescue- Lots of fire in this one. The whole back wall of the stage was lined with juniors in red. Very cool.

One Drop- Bringing out the water. That whole middle stage and walkway contain fountains. I hate to say it, but Kame seriously messed up one of the “whoas” towards the end.

Lips- No fancy microphones. Instead, they did it on platforms that looked like trees and/or something that had been dragged up from a swamp.

Yorokobi no Uta/Keep the Faith/DUES- I’m putting them together because they were basically a medley. They cycled through these really fast. Too fast if you ask me, since Keep the Faith and DUES are two of my favorite songs.

White Xmas- Very pretty! They used lots of fog machines.

Sadistic Love- I think I liked it, but for the life of me I can’t remember anything specific. I meant to take notes, but I lost my pen sometime early on. Shoot.

1582- If you haven’t heard, Kame’s solo performance was absolutely EPIC. They pulled out all the stops on this one. First, he appears in this hanging red cage wrapped in chains. Then he opens the door, dangles from cage for a while, and then FALLS for real (they had one of those stunt mats on the ground so he wouldn’t kill himself). Yes, Kame does his own stunts. Then, he shows up on top of the stage in a pretty kimono-like robe with his hair all clipped up, looking oh so pretty, and dances with traditional fans and paper umbrellas. Then, he’s lowered down to the stage where he throws off the girly robe in favor of a black robe with one arm out, smears something on his mouth that looks like blood, and waves a sword for a while. THEN he levitates on the fountain by surfing on an upsidedown umbrella. THEN he flys around with some long white cloth. THEN the taiko drumming starts and he’s suddenly wearing white and running through the fountains, getting soaked by them and also by the juniors who are throwing buckets of water in his face. That last bit was rather odd. I kept expecting “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” music to play. So, I think it’s pretty safe to say that Kame pulled out all the stops and then some with this solo. Oh, and I think there were fireworks at some point too.

Pierrot- Why had I never read the lyrics to this before. The English had both T-san and I cracking up in the middle of the performance! The people around us probably thought we were crazy. I mean, there are lines like “I live like a rock and I die like a rock” and “I know that you hate my style. The fact that I’m a rock, but you know what? I hate your ass too!”. So… Koki= a rock. Good to know. Koki went in a cage while a guy rode his motorcycle around him. Looked dangerous, and I kept thinking I was at the circus. It didn’t help that Junno’s solo was next and it involved juggling.

Wind- Junno juggled glow in the dark balls. Jin sang with Junno at the end. When it was over he said, “Sorry for intruding!” Lol.

Rescue Corner- Maru comes out in “Rescue” jumpsuit. Does some beat boxing. Then everyone comes out in jumpsuits except for Koki who is wearing his Dragon Ball costume. Tonight’s special guests were Chinen from HSJ and Massu from News (and Rescue). That Chinen sure is a cute kid (but not as cute as Nino, and don’t you forget it Riida). Once again, Nakamaru failed at bungee jumping. We counted down 3 times too! Then there were some junior performances. Chinen sang “Mayonaka no Shadow Boy” and some Kansai juniors sang something.

Peak, Jumpin Up, No Matta Matta- Nothing specific comes to mind. That doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy them though!

MC- Was loooong. I thought they’d never shut up. Mostly, they talked about their upcoming dramas and projects. The best part was Jin being teased at the beginning. They wanted him to talk about something, but he was hiding in the back (getting his water I think), and they made him introduce himself. Then he tried to hide again, but they dragged him back out to talk about Bandage (and introduce himself again). We got to hear that adorable Bakanishi giggle. Kame and Jin talked about Gokusen, during which they got kind of close to each other, causing the audience to scream. Junno got picked on for not talking. At the end when they drew for the signed posters, Jin read his ticket like it was a receipt (he said a price in stead of a seat number. Such a Bakanishi).  I did not win one of the signed posters they drew for.

Love- Glad to see this performed. It’s one of their better B-sides.

That Seasons Song- Nope, still don’t like this song.

Water Dance- This was a really cool performance. They were sort of weaving back and forth through the fountain. It occurred to me that if anyone accidentally missed a cue and stood in the wrong place he would have gotten soaked.

More Junior Performances- There were a couple girls behind me who were MAJOR fans of Kiss My Foot and ABC. They were screaming so much it sounded like they were being dismembered by wolves or something.

Real Face- Kame did Koki’s rap part at the beginning, and Koki sang Kame’s first solo line. Hahaha! Junno also did the final rap part. I guess they’ve been singing this song enough that they like to mix it up.

Member Directed Section (Ueda)- They seem to be working their way backwards through KAT-TUN, since it was Nakamaru’s turn last night. If you don’t know, this is a section that changes every night, with one member getting to pick the songs each night.

Fight All Night- Oooh! I’m happy Ueda chose this one. The dance sexy, and surprisingly enough, they all seemed to remember it well.

Sparking- Ueda solo, with the other members joining in. When it came Junno’s turn to sing his part, suddenly all of the music stopped and everyone just stood there. He belted it out accapella. LOL. I wonder if he knew that was going to happen or if Ueda was playing a trick on him.

Gloria- Another nice choice. Good job Ueda!

Uh…- I’m not sure what the song that went with all the nostalgic KAT-TUN footage was. Some old album song. Sorry!!!

Ueda Solo- Some nice piano playing to start things off before going into his solo. Poor Ueda forgot his lines during part of it. He dropped to his knees in apology at the end.

White World- Nakamaru did something interesting and hard to describe involving a mix of him and recordings of him moving all around the back of the stage. He sang quite well!

Wonder- Yeah, that’s the name of the Jin/Crystal K. collaboration song. I really liked it! I wonder if there are plans to release it as a real single. I’m sure it would sell well, and looking at the back screens during the performance, it seems like they’ve already pretty much filmed a PV. Jin appeared on a throne with a small harem of female background dancers. All hail Jin, king of sexy.

Battle Corner- Ueda and Junno threw energy balls, Dragon Ball style. Koki and Nakamaru decided not to fight and treated us to some TaNaka instead. This time, they did really funny impressions of Jin! When Jin and Kame were flying around “fighting each other” Jin took a lethal blow on the first pass and hung there like a dead body, twitching occasionally, for the rest of the fight scene.

Ai no Command/Wilds of My Heart- Great high-energy songs for the last set.

Neiro- They had the audience sing the final “Neiro” and Jin said, “Beautiful!”. They asked the audience to check under their seats, and people without stickers turned off their penlights so the audience spelled “Love KAT-TUN”. It looked really cool!

Encore-

She Said- There was no costume change for the encore, so it happened really quickly. They rode around on a spaceship cart for this one.

Peaceful Days- As usual, Junno is a happy bouncy bunny. Surprisingly, even Jin was jumping up and down at the end.

So, thinking the concert was probably over, since that’s where it ended last night, T-san and I waited for a bit and then started to leave. However, just as we were halfway down the stairs, KAT-TUN emerged again. We got a second encore! As we rushed back to our seats, the girl behind me tapped me on the shoulder and said “Safe!” with the baseball hand signal. Lol.

Will Be all Right- Jin messed up the lyrics a bit at the beginning, so instead of “Tell Me” he sang “Sorry!”. Also, he upended a water bottle on his head, and was looking very very sexy with his hair all wet and slicked back. Anyway,  I love this song, so I feel pretty lucky that we got two encores.

Total Concert Time: About 3 hours, 10 minutes.

And now I am very very tired, and I have plans to go to the gym with a friend tomorrow, so it’s bedtime for me. The show was great, I only wish I could have had a better seat. I didn’t know how lucky I was at the Ishikawa concert last summer, even being able to make eye contact with some of the guys! Tokyo Dome is just so big though that most of the seats aren’t very good.

Concert Report: Ishikawa, 7/20, Evening

Published by celestia under concert report, personal, ramblings

July 20th, 2008. I may have just had the best experience of my young life. My secret fear about going to the KAT-TUN concert was that I would discover that they weren’t really as great as I thought they were. Rest assured any of you who might have that same fear. In person, if anything, they’re even better, and certainly more handsome. All of them. Kame is the cutest thing ever. Seriously. I never fully realized how adorable he is. Once in his solo he did a kiss at the audience and this cute little embarrassed shrug that was just about the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I just wanted to put him in my pocket and take him home. Jin is absolutely beautiful. I always knew this, but it’s good to have it confirmed. Also, they are all really good dancers. Again, I knew this, but it’s good to have it confirmed.

I’ll go back to the beginning. The concert venue in Ishikawa is kind of in the middle of nowhere, so almost everyone going to the concert came through Kanazawa station, some 15 minutes away by bus. There was an entire fleet of buses taking people to the concert, all of which had “Emergency Bus” on the display, something that I found to be quite amusing. Oh no! It’s a KAT-TUN emergency!!

We got there about an hour and a half before the doors opened which was good because the line for concert goods was very short, but bad because it was rather hot and we had to sit out and wait for a while. We passed the time by painting our nails, freaking out over the fact that KAT-TUN was somewhere in that building right next to us, and trying to identify who’s hand was who’s in one of the pictures in my pamphlet. Did I mention that I bought a “pamphlet”? And by pamphlet I mean a hard cover book full of lots of thick, high quality, wonderful KAT-TUN photos. Definitely a purchase that I will not regret. I also bought one of the awesome sword-shaped pen lights, which really came in handy during the concert.

After we were finally herded inside, we found our seats. They weren’t the best seats in the world, but certainly not the worst, and since Ishikawa was a pretty small venue (about 7,000), there really weren’t any bad seats. All of them were on ground level anyway, no balconies. The rest of this will be in bullet points in what might approximately be chronological order. I apologize, but it’s such a blur right now that that’s the best I can do.

-Jin introduced the concert. It started so suddenly, with very little warning. Suddenly BAM! Jin is standing a matter of feet from me. Nearly had a heart attack.

-Kame had this giant piece of grass or something in his mouth during some of taboo (like a farmer). So random

-Kame planted a kiss on the cheek of one of the ABC boys

-During one song (gah! I can’t remember which one!!), Jin spent a lot of the time pretending his microphone was a flute. Ueda, meanwhile, jammed on the air guitar.

-During the introductions Koki, kept bowing for an absurd amount of time. It was funny.

-Nakamaru started doing belly dancer style belly roll things with his shirt pulled up a couple of times. LoL.

-The tengu skit was waaay funny. Kame’s “tengu” voice is great

-During “Lips” the microphones sprayed smoke (like in the PV). Jin attacked Junno with his, but then they both ended up ganging up on Koki who just closed his eyes and basked in it.

-Jin talked a lot during the MC. Probably more than anyone else except Maru. Yay! The best part was when he was talking about how some of the parents in the audience grab their little kid’s arms and wave them around and, and he did an impression of a kid being shaken like crazy by his mom.

-Jin and Kame sang a little bit together during the MC, both on the verge of cracking up the whole time. There were some REALLY intense fangirls sitting behind us, and a couple of them were so excited by this that they were actually crying. Like, tears were rolling down their cheeks as they hugged each other and squealed. Whoa.

-During “Mother Father”, Ueda was kind of crying…awww

-Also during “Mother Father” Koki put the ship’s bell on his head

-There was a section where they individually appeared on stage, supposedly running from the Tengu. Jin ran across the stage screaming and then “fell” off. Kame advertised some crunky, taking a bite with an ecstatic look on his face, Junno read one of his love letters, Ueda shot Junno off stage with increasingly large weaponry ending with a bazooka, all with an extremely devilish look on his face, and Koki and Maru did a bit of their Tanaka skit.

-At one point Nakamaru and Koki were pretending to cry, but Maru kept making this really funny face by opening one eye while he was doing it. As a side note, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I ended up laughing during the concert. Some parts were super funny.

-During Junno’s solo, he went over and talked to a girl with a Junno uchiwa who was so excited she looked like she was about to faint. He asked her where she was from and she responded “Oosaka desu!” in the squeakiest voice I’ve ever heard, followed by, “Taguchi-kun DAISUKI!!!!”

-Jin sang the acapella beginning to “Bokura no Machi de” mostly without a microphone. It was soooo beautiful. As a side note, all of his singing sounded incredible, and he added his own vocal embellishments to just about every song.

-Kame, Jin, and Koki came by our section (at different times) on those little cart things they use. Jin actually came by twice, once on each side. I didn’t make eye contact with Kame, but he was so cute and sexy, and really close to where I was sitting, so I didn’t care. I made eye contact with Koki very briefly, and when Jin was coming by our section the second time, toward the end of the concert, I made eye contact with him! For reals! All I could do was grin like a fool and give a really awkward wave. This earned me a half-smile/half-smirk. I can now die happy.

-During the end of Jin’s solo, he danced down the center walkway under strobe lighting. It was fricking awesome.

-Nakamaru did this thing during his beat boxing segment were he hummed a tune while still keeping up the percussion part. I’ve never heard him do that before. It was impressive!

-Ueda sang really well during his solo. As someone who’s not usually a fan of his solo singing, I quite enjoyed it.

-During the encore “Real Face” Jin made Nakamaru sing part of his line at the beginning, and Nakamaru did the “ooh” thing at the end in such a sexual way.

-Junno did Koki’s rap at the end of Real Face “ore wa Junno!” with Jin, Ueda, and one more of them…maybe Kame?…standing right behind him and staring at him incredulously. I think he did a rather good job!

-My favorite performance was probably “Six Senses”, because it was fun to do the clapping and counting with them, and the dancing was great!

Three hours later, and I simply cannot believe that it’s all over. It flew by SO fast! I want to see another one! Like tomorrow! Overall, it was a surreal and wonderful experience. I might think of more things I’m forgetting later, but for now, I think I’ll call it an entry. As a final bit of advice. If there’s any way you can go to a KAT-TUN concert, DO IT.

*contented sigh*
