Hey everyone!

So, to give me some proper practice at reading Japanese, I’m going to continue trying to translate Aya’s posts as best I can. For those of you who read Amy’s write up on International Wota regarding my previous post, she doesn’t have the greatest faith in my translation (and really, I don’t either! XD) but oh well… Sorta getting the gist of it is better than just seeing a bunch of lines on your computer screen, right?
So… Here are Aya’s 2 latest entries! As with my last post, anything in italics (and now square brackets) are my notes/questions/concerns/and wtfs. ^_^
It’s kind of funny… This past Saturday, Risuzu (Charmy to me XD) tweeted at me, asking if I was still keeping this blog going…
Today, I got home from work, and I saw another tweet from Charmy, linking to AYA’S NEW BLOG!!!! OMG!
I’ve added the link to the blogroll, ’cause as an Aya worship blog, a link to her own blog MUST be here too. XD
The first thing I noted was her hair! I haven’t been checking out the Hello! Online picboard very often recently, so I completely missed her haircut! Wow it’s short! But I think she looks lovely on her blog! <3

So, about half an hour ago, I realized that Aya and BoA are good friends…. And seeing as I haven’t updated this blog in AGES, I thought this would be as good as anything to update it with. XD
Funnily enough, I have somehow already forgotten how I got to the first link that made me stumble upon this realization.
Something (I don’t think I was browsing through my feed reader, and a quick glance through my twitter account doesn’t show any link to this… So I really have NO clue how I got to this in the first place. -_-;) had a link to this video of BoA on MTV’s Iggy. I don’t watch MTV (or rather MTV Canada) so, I’m not quite sure what this Iggy thing is, but basically, BoA was on Iggy promoting her (at that time) upcoming debut English album and they surprised her with a comment and question from her “best friend in Japan, pop superstar Aya Matsuura”. It’s around the 3:30 mark.
I would have embedded the video, but the embed code given on the site wasn’t complete.*
Since the embed code was weird, I went to YouTube hoping to find the clip there so I could embed it. Unfortunately, I didn’t find the clip, but I found a cute subbed appearance of Aya’s on Hey!Hey!Hey! from 2008, where it seems she pulls some strings (or something) to get some time to hang out with her friend. It does seem like they’re quite close and they engage in adorable banter in this clip.
I hope that my next post on this blog happens a little faster than 3 months later. -_-
PS. I was highly disappointed a few weeks ago when I went to the music store hoping to buy BoA’s album, only to find out that Canada has a late release date. It’s supposed to be out April 7th, so here’s hoping my local music store has it this coming Tuesday, when I’ll be at the mall having dinner before head to (funnily enough) my Japanese class.
*EDIT: It seems there was something up with the page on chrome. I loaded it on Firefox and the embed code was complete there.*
I’ve been feeling quite guilty about not posting on here… I actually have a post in mind for this blog, but I need to gather a few things for the post. I simply haven’t gotten around to doing that yet.
However, with the announcement of new releases for Aya just prior to her graduation from Hello! Project in early 2009, I thought it’d be nice to post the info in here, along with some hawt Ayaya photos.

I have recently become obsessed with Aya’s ‘From That Sky ~Kaedama wa Katamen de~’ – the 8th song on her 2nd album… Why, you ask? Well, it just so happened to be the opening number to Aya’s latest concert DVD and man, oh man, was it ever hot!
It a great song in general, but holy moly! Live band, hot Aya, rocking performance…. This just goes to show that ‘old lady Aya’ can still pull off amazing, energy filled performances. I haven’t actually sat down and picked a favourite song out of the concert yet, but this is definitely near the top of the list.
Earlier this year, Aya was featured in the music magazine Hot Express. In this feature, Aya went in depth into her progression as an idol and as an artist over the 7 years since she started up with Hello! Project.
Ronin from the H!O forum was kind enough to provide a translation of the interview, and I’m just posting it here for easy Aya fan viewing. XD The original post can be found here at Hello! Online. I found this interview to be quite an enjoyable read, for I found it very interesting to get Aya’s perspective on all of these different aspects of her career. I’m definitely down to hear some lyrics penned by Aya herself!
So without futher ado, here’s the interview!
My love for Natsuyaki Miyabi is well known through my Miyabi worship blog, Last Forever. However, Miyabi is not my #1 H!P member of all time, and while I’ve written posts about my #1, I felt like it was time do properly do her justice and start up a worship blog for the one and only….
MATSUURA AYA!!!
The title of this blog comes from the 6th song on Aya’s 2nd Album T.W.O. If you haven’t heard the song before, the layout here is the same as on Last Forever, and you can give it a listen by clicking on the little triangle that’s sitting next to “Shine More” under the category “The Song” on the sidebar. I thought this was a fitting title for the blog because Aya continues to shine as time goes on. Though, I really should find a good translation for that song… XD
I don’t think I need to get into what it is about Aya that I love. Instead, I shall link you to my post explaining why Aya is my ultimate H!P idol.
On this blog, I will post random Aya eyecandy, old Aya videos and any translated interviews/articles that I can find on Aya. Once again, a big thanks goes to Ray of American Wota for hosting yet ANOTHER one of my blogs. XD
And so, much like I did with my Miyabi blog, I’ll start this one off with a few early photos of Aya, to remind us of her adorable and humble beginnings in the H!P world.
It’s amazing to think she’s been around for nearly 7 years…
