I have recently become obsessed with Aya’s ‘From That Sky ~Kaedama wa Katamen de~’ – the 8th song on her 2nd album… Why, you ask? Well, it just so happened to be the opening number to Aya’s latest concert DVD and man, oh man, was it ever hot!
It a great song in general, but holy moly! Live band, hot Aya, rocking performance…. This just goes to show that ‘old lady Aya’ can still pull off amazing, energy filled performances. I haven’t actually sat down and picked a favourite song out of the concert yet, but this is definitely near the top of the list.

Earlier this year, Aya was featured in the music magazine Hot Express. In this feature, Aya went in depth into her progression as an idol and as an artist over the 7 years since she started up with Hello! Project.
Ronin from the H!O forum was kind enough to provide a translation of the interview, and I’m just posting it here for easy Aya fan viewing. XD The original post can be found here at Hello! Online. I found this interview to be quite an enjoyable read, for I found it very interesting to get Aya’s perspective on all of these different aspects of her career. I’m definitely down to hear some lyrics penned by Aya herself!
So without futher ado, here’s the interview!

My love for Natsuyaki Miyabi is well known through my Miyabi worship blog, Last Forever. However, Miyabi is not my #1 H!P member of all time, and while I’ve written posts about my #1, I felt like it was time do properly do her justice and start up a worship blog for the one and only….
MATSUURA AYA!!!
The title of this blog comes from the 6th song on Aya’s 2nd Album T.W.O. If you haven’t heard the song before, the layout here is the same as on Last Forever, and you can give it a listen by clicking on the little triangle that’s sitting next to “Shine More” under the category “The Song” on the sidebar. I thought this was a fitting title for the blog because Aya continues to shine as time goes on. Though, I really should find a good translation for that song… XD
I don’t think I need to get into what it is about Aya that I love. Instead, I shall link you to my post explaining why Aya is my ultimate H!P idol.
On this blog, I will post random Aya eyecandy, old Aya videos and any translated interviews/articles that I can find on Aya. Once again, a big thanks goes to Ray of American Wota for hosting yet ANOTHER one of my blogs. XD
And so, much like I did with my Miyabi blog, I’ll start this one off with a few early photos of Aya, to remind us of her adorable and humble beginnings in the H!P world.
It’s amazing to think she’s been around for nearly 7 years…
