[Blogs] Bikkuri Project talking about the Forever Love PV

Let’s Talk About Forever Love

Celestia plots out her post on C-ute’s Forever Love by seperating the positives and Negatives of the PV, which, after reading blogs for god knows how long is always a nice and simple way to navigate the writing. Celestia’s enjoying some of the aesthetical features in the PV but still finds the bigger picture a little static, and she’s a little dissapointed by the song’s chorus. There’s more thoughts to go through, and they’re all pretty valid and enjoyable to read.

[Blogs] Maize and Celestia and C-ute…”This is a Pen!”

GOOD MORNING! - FROM KANNA, MAI, AND CHISA!  (fields of maize and berryz)
C-ute English  (Bikkuri Project)

This has been in my post queue for so long, and I’m sorry it has been because it’s just so damn cute!

Maize and Celestia have posted an MC segment from C-ute’s latest tour DVD that includes the abovementioned members doing an entire segment in English.  Well… they are attempting to do it in English, but the result is so much cuter than if it was grammatically correct!

The consensus is these segments are great!  For Maize it brings back memories of Ayaka’s Surprise English Lessons.  As for Celestia, she notices the superiority of C-ute’s stage costumes over the ones given to the less fortunate Berryz members.  And she gives us a little preview of what to look forward to on the DVD.

But the star is the segment itself.  Check it out, it is too funny!

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project’s Firsthand Account of “Resonant Live”

Resonant Live : Concert Report

Celestia had the pleasure of attending TWO Morning Musume shows in Tokyo last weekend, and brings us a full report of what was going on outside the theater, on the stage, AND in the audience!  She gives us a track by track account, complete with commentary on the MC’s.  And of course it wouldn’t be a Bikkuri Project review without some costume snark.

And yes, I am the CK who had the pleasure of accompanying her to the first show.  And I share her sentiments about how exciting it is to see Morning Musume firsthand.  Celestia has some great anecdotes about getting to the theater, and how nice her fellow wota sitting around her were.  This show also confirmed for Celestia how much she loves Niigaki Risa.  She is just dynamite on stage!  Great review, highly recommended

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project Has a Thought and Some Eyecandy

Make Up Photos

Celestia has some make-up photos for the “terror” she caused in her previous Little Photoshop of Horrors post. Before she gets onto the eyecandy, though, she adds a closing thought about the Elders Club graduation. She has comment towards their fanbase which I completely agree with, and her speculating that the three eggs remaining with H!P could mean the end of Ongaku Gatas. I personally hope that is not the case, but I never really enjoyed their music much anyways. Oh well, at least there’s the awesome eyecandy to make us all feel better! Lookin’ good, Kanna!

[Blogs] The Elder Club Reactions Are Pouring In (Pt. 1)

OG To Graduate  (Bikkuri Project)
ding dong the Elder Club is dead  (Hajimete no ROCK CONCERT)
Elder Club To End - Everyone Graduates 1 March 2009  (Morningtime)
Dismantling the Love Machine  (The J-Pex)
Mass Graduation for H!P  (Sakuraichigo’s Weblog)

Obviously this is huge news, and most everbody is going to have a strong reaction to it.  We will try to get to everyone…

Celestia was initially shocked, but the more she thinks about it, the more she understands it from a business standpoint.  She also asks the question I have been wondering.  What happens to the Eggs that were in O.G., and does the futsal team disband as well?

Despite the title, pengie IS upset by the news.  She has posted initial reaction from last night’s wotachat.  And leaves us with this dreary thought…

“Hello! Project will be reduced to a writhing, snivelling mass of girls under the age of 25 who focus purely on cutesy bubblegum pop and not getting pregnant.”

Morningtime figures this is the end for just about everyone, save Charmy and Yossie who are just starting on Hangry & Angry.  He also wonders is Gatas’ graduation means the group is actually breaking up?  M figures UFA and H!P’s treatment of the Elders contributed to stagnation and a lack of popularity, causing this to be inevitable.

Pex saw the Mega Best Collections as a sign, and wonders why everyone graduating didn’t get a CD release.  Pex also wishes the girls good health and future success.

Sakuraichigo sees this as the biggest thing EVER to happen in H!P, and wonders if there are any new auditions on the horizon.

Many many more to come…

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project Has Some of the Less Glamourous H!P Photos

Little Photoshop of Horrors

This isn’t a costume hall of shame post. Instead, what Celestia is showing us how the girls of H!P often look less than spectacular regardless of a bad costume. Celestia’s got Eri, Kanna and Risako twice in here… Though, I had to say that Risako totally got the short end of the stick in the photos.

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project Has the Tracklist For MoMusu’s Aku Yuu Cover Album

Cover You Tracklist

Celestia lists the tracks for the new Morning Musume cover album.  But she is fascinated not by what is on the list, but what is missing when you compare it to their latest tour setlist.  Could this mean that Morning Musume’s 9th album is in the works as well?

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project: C-ute’s Chisato for soloist?

Chisato Okai: Holy Crap, She’s Even Better At Singing Than I Thought!!!

Celestia thinks that Chisato has what it takes to be a solo artist in H!P. The video on show - a singing segment from the FC DVD - aims to prove Celestia’s point. To me at least, it just sounds like average karaoke. I suppose by H!P/Idol standards you can get away with that. Anyway, I’m not as enthusiastic about this whole thing as Celestia is, but hey, you lot might be and I guess that’s the important thing.

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project: Questionable H!P costumes, Resonant Live, and new egg unit

Costume Hall of Shame: Next Time, Hire a Professional
Resonant Live Set List
More Happy Egg News

Celestia brings back her Costume Hall of Shame segment - although it might be a one off - and it looks like the snark hasn’t failed on Celestia just yet. Whilst I actually like gomaki’s get-up, or just being able to make out gomaki’s hot figure, the others are worth Celestia’s cheeky-toned time.

An earlier entry sees Celestia giving us the setlist for Morning Musume’s upcoming Resonant Live concert, and it’s lovely to see Lemon Iro to Milk Tea in the mix. It’s one of my favourite H!P songs of all time, and the 6th gen shine in it, even beloved Sayu. It’s her song in my opinion. Celestia tags each song with some of her thoughts too.

And lastly we have Celestia’s thoughts on H!P’s new egg unit Shugo Chara Egg!, at least I think that’s the groups name - I dont keep up anymore. Anyway Celestia briefly goes over the members of the unit and what she thinks of them thus far, and what they have to offer.

[Blogs] Everybody’s Talkin’ About the Pepper Keibu PV (Pt. 1)

PV Keibu  (Bikkuri Project)
You got Pink Lady in my Momusu  (Slasha’s Tatami Mat)
Peepaaaaa KEIBUU !!!  (Wotaku Now!)
[Review] I review PV’s so you don’t have to  (Pink Wota)
Morning Musume - Pepper Keibu (or OMGAHSKJDJLSKAJDOSIADJLSKADJLASKO)  (Shanimuni Paradise)

Lots of opinions about Morning Musume’s new single and PV, here we go…

Celestia gives her plus/minuses for the PV.  She likes the costumes, and is happy with the overall line distribution.  But she finds the song repetitive and the dancing somewhat cheesy.  And since this seems as if it is a “dance shot”, Celestia wonders if there will be a few more versions.

Slasha has posted the covers and a link to the PV, and figures that H!P is going to milk the Aku Yuu thing for all it’s worth.  Slasha is waiting to hear the consensus before deciding whether or not to purchase the single.

Shirow didn’t care for the song at first, but now he can’t get the hook out of his head!  He has screencapped the PV, paying special attention to certain parts of the body that many of us enjoy looking at.  Funny what a few beers does to your enthusiasm.  Shirow must be a “happy drunk”.

Vee goes over four important aspects of the PV that makes it a WIN for her.  She questions the legality of Mittsi being so sexy, and wonders when Koharu turned into Kumai Yurina.  Ultimately Vee likes this “minimalist rendition” of the PV.

Being a huge fan of Pink Lady, Tsukiki is really excited about Morning Musume covering them.  She calls this her “favorite MoMusu song since Yossie left”.  Tsukiki is also really happy about who stood out for her in the PV, and just as importantly who didn’t.

More opinions to come…

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project Finally Gives Buono! Some Love

Too Long Have I Been Neglecting Buono

Recommended reading. After putting it aside for some time, Celestia finally gets around to taking a good look at Buono! and sets out to determine which of Buono!’s 4 singles is the “Buonoest” of them all.

This is quite an enjoyable read with some very amusing categories, for example: “Category 2: Largeness of Miyabi’s hair (PV)”. It’s quite sad that Miya failed Celestia in Gachinko’s PV. I realize it’s not big hair… But… Man was Miya looking gorgeous in that PV, large hair or not. The hotness factor should outweight largeness of hair… But that’s just me, and I’m slightly biased. XD

Celestia goes through a total of 10 categories and through thorough analysis comes to her final conclusion… Which single do you think is the Buonoest, and do you agree with Celestia’s results?

Gifs of Thanksgiving- Part 5

Gifs of Thanksgiving- Part 6

These are so cute!!!

Celestia has taken a brief timeout from the tremendous time she is obviously having in Japan to post these animated photos from Morning Musume’s latest concert DVD.  Plenty of great eyecandy.  And for all of the Jun Jun fans, there are two excellent shots included here, along with a few clever captions by Celestia!  They are all great Gifs, but I think “Part 5″ is my favorite group.  Recommended ogling!

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project Looks At Idoling!!!

Idon’ting!!!

Celestia watches (and embeds) a performance of “Kokuhaku” by Idoling!!! to see if they pose any competition to Morning Musume. The result… not even close. In fact, she says the singing is a “musical trainwreck of Koharu-like scale.” Ouch.

News Flash

As promised, Celestia is back with more animated gifs from Morning Musume’s spring concert. My favourites here would have to be the smouldering Aichan and the sexy Risa. Though, my favourite caption goes to Linlin:

Crazy LinLin is not quite as frightening as Maniacal Koharu, but should still be approached with caution

In a small news flash post, Celestia updates us on 2 Hello! Project members who made it into the top 10 of CDTV’s “Most Wanted as Your Lover” poll. Can you guess which two members made it into the list?

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project Has Morning Musume Concert Gifs

GIFs of Thanksgiving- Part 1

Celestia has her internet up and running in Japan, so hopefully we’ll be seeing more of her again soon. To celebrate her success, she has posted a few animated gifs from Morning Musume’s latest concert. They’re all awesome, but the caption with Koharu’s gif absolutely wins!

Maniacal Koharu. Please keep away from animals and small children.

She also promises that more gifs are on the way! I can’t wait to see what else she has in store.

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project On Lots Of H!P News

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project Reviews The Berryz vs C-ute Battle Concert

~Berryz Kamen vs Cutie Ranger~ Concert Review

Recommended reading. Our Celestia has watched the H!P Kids concert extravaganza and was not disappointed. She likes that the battle concert places the two groups on a level playing field, even though Berryz will always have seniority over C-ute simply because they debuted as a group a few years earlier.

Celestia makes a passing comment about whether the Berryz girls are truly happy for their H!P Kids group counterpart, and it’s a legitimate question… I’ve often wondered about that myself.

Celestia then goes over the concert track by track, giving the highs and lows of each number. And, as in her usual concert review fashion, she names a “winner” for each performance. Who comes out on top in this concert? You’ll have to read on to find out! :)

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project Has Costume Criticisms

Who got shafted by the wardrobe department this time?

Not to be confused with the Costume Hall of Shame series, Celestia takes a look at the costumes from Morning Musume’s latest concert tour and gives us the good and the bad. She also has a new poll up, and she asks you which girl has the cutest dress from one set of costumes from the concert. I just love her description on Reina’s outfit:

Does Reina’s pirate-wench costume float your boat?

This will be a hard decision for me to make… They’re all really… gold… >_<

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project Has a Survey About Your J-Pop Feelings

A Very Bikkuri Survey

Another survey!

Celestia has put together a survey that is a little different from the Cutie Party one floating around. What I mean is that the Cutie Party focused on the musical tastes and preferences of people. This survey goes into a different aspect of the entertainment and J-Pop world.

It is a survey asking your feelings about it and the acts within it, with questions along the lines of “who is the sexiest?” and “how often do you dance to your favorite songs?” It should get some interesting answers, and it just may say more about the personalities behind the bloggers than before.

I’m glad that people love doing surveys and I am glad that people are responding to Misa’s. To reiterate, Misa has put together a 10 question survey in order to find new music. I can see lots of blogs benefiting from this though, as it sets up a nice profile for them to promote themselves to others. You could easily find blogs that you weren’t reading to have similar tastes.

Robokucchi, LOVE Tantei, Solo Space, ºAbsol-ute ºC-ute, Bikkuri Project [who also answered a question that pengie from unchained previously asked], Aitakatta!, Shanimuni Paradise and H!P Fangirling like Nobody’s Business all answered in this batch.

[Blogs] Bikkuri Project Considers Reasons for the Lack of LinLin Love

The Trouble with LinLin

Recommending reading. Celestia delves into the possible reasons for LinLin’s lack of popularity. I have to say that she’s low on my Momusu member list, but she’s not quite the bottom.

However, celestia makes some good points. I haven’t been watching much of Morning Musume recently, but from what I have seen, JunJun and Aika are definitely much more intersting to watch that LinLin. The pandas have been around for around a year, and LinLin is still floundering to find her niche within the flagship group. I wish LinLin the best of luck as she tries to figure out how to mesh with the rest of her group.
