Happy Birthday to….
wanna hear the TRUTH?

Misa of Cutie Party reviewed two Johnny’s groups: NEWS and ARASHI. She’s got an interesting take on their recent singles, and I found myself laughing to myself throughout these posts. As for NEWS’ Happy Birthday, Misa has a positive review, and she gushes over Massu in her very amusing screencaps for the PV. On the other hand, Misa has a negative review of truth, ARASHI’s latest single. Even though I adored truth, Misa doesn’t like it. However, even though Misa made fun of Matsumoto Jun (BLASPHEMY!), I found her MatsuJun-bashing great and refreshing after hearing so much about his hotness from others. All in all, Misa’s definitely got different way of thinking about Johnny’s boys, and I would totally recommend reading these posts.

Lets compare: AKB to H!P
Mai Satoda scares the crap out of me.

Misa does a very quick job of comparing AKB48 with Hello! Project, using a few pictures to represent different aspects of both companies. There’s very little substance here, but the quick bursts of snark always help.

An earlier entry is full of screen captures from Ongaku Gatas’s Come Together close-up PV, and expect digs at everyone involved.

DJ_MaiMai is bothered by the incident and hopes for some sort of punishment for the thief. Still, almost begrudgingly, DJ_MaiMai admits it is nice to see the girls acting normal.

Misa at Cutie Party and Amy at Merry Go Round respond to CFB. Shockingly, Misa chooses Yoshizawa Hitomi. But she has her reasons and explains them well. Shockingly, and that is a sincere one, Amy picked Sugaya Risako and not Suzuki Airi. Her reasoning is that Airi wouldn’t be taking pictures of herself. Uhhh, not sure about that one Amy!

There’s a Cutie Party and Yossie’s giving the “favours”

Misa’s cutie party - there’s now two blogs going by the same name - has a new Hello! Project banner, and the latest post briefly talks about it, including an small snippet from wotachat involving Ray’s opinions. Also near the end Misa reminds us that she’s still scared of Yasuda Kei. Nice.

Quite by accident, I stumbled across this blog and was quite surprised to see the title “Cutie Party”. I was fuming until I realized what a solid blog this was. A blog dedicated completely to C-ute can only be good! This blog seems to be focused on news, but I love the little bits of opinion that are thrown into the mix. This blog seems very promising, so please update your RSS!

Let’s Take a Look at Some Ballads!

Misa over at Cutie Party has decided to create a little series to cover some ballads that she likes. In this post, she reviews two of Otsuka Ai’s singles: Kingyo Hanabi and Cherish. In her next posts, she will be covering some Younha and H!P ballads. Personally, I’m surprised she isn’t planning on mentioning any of Matsuura Aya’s ballads, but the ballads she plans on covering are great ballads anyways. Since this is a series, stay tuned to Cutie Party for more ballad reviews!

Morning Musume will getting another single this year. It will be released on September 24. Misa of Cutie Party has the news and also delivers some early hopes for the single. Kiokiou of What Kio Says has this news in addition to looking at other future releases for Hello!Project, including Berryz Koubou, Buono! and Ongaku Gatas. There is also a JPH!P post that has this news.

Regarding the Berryz Koubou Khan Remix, an earlier entry today at IW had stated the release date was going to be September 10. This appears to be be wrong and it looks like September 17 is the release date. The second post at JPH!P links to an official page that has September 17 as the release date. At least this remix will not infect the album
