Shinya teams up with Marty Friedman’s unit for new single

Courtesy of Natalie, news that Marty Friedman’s new duo LOVEFIXER will now feature Mister Ishiguro Aya on drums for the first single. They’ve worked together in the past, supporting Aikawa Nanase.

Anyways, I wonder if Marty has ever met Ayappe and squees, “I LOVE YOUR GROUP! IS TSUNKU AS DREAMY AS HE LOOKS? DO YOU KNOW AYAYA?” And it’d be even cooler if Ayappe said something like, “Mustaine is such a whiny little bitch.”

Recommended reading, even if you have no idea who Nanase and Marty are, because Go is at his best in this glorious, hilarious review. There is no writeup that could do this post justice. Seriously:

This single is a great big steaming pile of undercooked ramen noodles thrown up by a cancerous goat and eaten by its young, then shat out their bleeding arses and baked in the rays of a dying sun, with flies all over it and possibly some large maggots inside who will grow up to infect a small village with dysentery or some other shit-producing malady.

Only Go could write this about a single and get away with it.

Nanase Aikawa back in action with new single, album

With her second child now nearing his first birthday, popular female rocker Nanase Aikawa will finally be making a return to the Japanese music scene, forming a unit for a movie theme song as well as working on a new album. Tokyograph notes that the new unit, Crimson-FANG, may feature a foreign musician. The most obvious choice for this one is probably Megadeth’s Marty Friedman, who has already toured as Nanase’s guitarist several times… although the possibilities are really endless!
