Sweet Wind
Sweet Wind is a new H!P blog that has already managed to catch my attention. Their posts vary from reviews to screencap posts to a very nice post about Suzuki Airi, which is what originally caught my attention. This blog seems very promising, and it is one that I will be keeping my eye on!

Rottara Rottara PV (Midori’s J-pop Overanalyzations)
Lotta Love Lotta Love for Buono!’s Rottara Rottara (H!P Fangirling like Nobody’s Business)
Lotta Love Lotta Love ! BUONO! Rock Way ! (hello!musume)
Lotta Love, Lotta Love Full PV (Hello!Blog)
Buono - Rottara Rottara video (Morningtime)
It’s Buono! … but not as we know it (Wotaku Now!)
Corny title, I know, but I HAD to do it… XD Anyway, the PV for Buono!’s upcoming single has been out for about a week now, and lots of reaction have already surfaced.
Midori goes over the amazing and the not so amazing. It looks like Midori’s a big fan of the song… The PV, not so much. She goes into quite the rant touching on various aspects of why this was a “terror of a PV”.
DJ_MaiMai of H!P Fangirling is a little confused with how to write out the song title, but that doesn’t stop her from loving the song. Though, like Midori, DJ_MaiMai has quite a few issues with the PV.
On the opposite end, Nakane of hello!musume loves the song, as well as the PV. She’s loving Miya’s hairstyle, and I have to agree! “That girl is so HAWT !”
Tom of Hello!Blog is a little disappointed in the low budget of the PV, but finds that the trio of Buono! can pretty much do no wrong. Being a hardcore Miyabi fan (obviously) I’m a little disappointed in her placing for his favourite for this PV, but if you’re going on a cute factor… Well, Miya’s hot in this PV (as mentioned by Nakane). Enough said. XD Tom mentions that he originally wasn’t that taken with this song, and I have to agree. But man, is this song ever addictive. Like Tom, I’m now in love with this single.
morningtime makes a comparison between Buono!’s pv and the new group Twe’lv’s PV for Seishun Oden. morningtime hopes for Buono!’s continued success in sales, for they like the way Buono! is able to pull off their style without looking like a “manga cartoon gone wrong or just a wota’s wet dream”. morningtime goes over why they think Buono!’s the best group in H!P at the moment, comparing their singles to the recent releases of other H!P groups… But I must ask - what happened to C-ute in these comparisons?
Shirow of Wotaku now is loving the new song, but is wondering where the edginess of Buono!’s style went with this PV. Unlike the other posts, who all just have the PV embedded, Shirow goes a step further and includes quite a few screen caps, showcasing how lovely the girls are looking in the PV.
So it looks like Buono!’s latest song it getting a lotta love, while the PV is evoking a little less enthusiasm.

Little Photoshop of Horrors
This isn’t a costume hall of shame post. Instead, what Celestia is showing us how the girls of H!P often look less than spectacular regardless of a bad costume. Celestia’s got Eri, Kanna and Risako twice in here… Though, I had to say that Risako totally got the short end of the stick in the photos.

In praise of Suzuki Airi and the person she shouldn’t love
pengie of hajimete no ROCK CONCERT is smitten with Airi’s performance of Suki ni Naccha Ikenai Hito! Some of you might not know this, but I actually love Airi quite a bit, so hearing pengie talk about how much she likes Airi is great! Anyways, pengie embeds the performance for those of you who haven’t seen it. She also calls Airi “as cute as a button”, and I AGREE!

Helium + Power + Finesse…Hello! Project’s J-Pop utopia rolls on! XD
Recommended reading. MorningBerryz is catching up on all the recent J-pop releases that have been piling up. In this review, we get MB’s view on Buono!’s latest single (and my favourite one thus far) - ‘Gachinko de Ikou!’
Before getting into the single itself, MB shares his thoughts on the new Shugo Chara Egg unit, and what that may mean for Buono! as a group. While I have no problems with the type of music Buono! has been releasing and I’ve never really felt like the anime tie-in has held them back, I certainly wouldn’t be complaining to see another side of Buono!, for the possibilities are endless with this powerhouse trio.
However, I do have a question about MB’s breakdown of Buono: “Helium + Power + Finesse = Buono!” I get who the helium is (that one’s a no brainer) but who’s the power and who’s the finesse? I’d say both Airi and Miyabi have a good amount of both, though I’d probably give Miya the edge in the power department.
MB goes back in time and shares another group under the Pony Canyon label who enjoyed success in the late 80’s to mid 90’s - Ribbon. He draws comparisions between the two groups and shares some audio files to give us a taste of the similarities.
MB takes a detailed look into the Single and Single V, sharing screen caps, scans, audio and video of pretty much every thing included on the CDs and DVDs. As always, MB keeps a wonderful running commentary as he shares each piece with us. The girls are looking absolutely gorgeous, and I totally agree with MB. It would be a dream come true if the girls actually took up instruments… <3
Finally, I just have to say that I never figured out what the name of that one game the girls play in the PV is (the one where the Buono! character’s head flies off the barrel). But, I think MB’s description suits me just fine: “pop goes the tennis ball head thing…”

I Want to Bouno Airi
Recommended ogling. Amy has two new Airi eyecandy posts ups. First up, she has some adorable shots of Airi in her white dress and schoolgirl outfit from ‘Meguru Koi no Kisetsu’.
Up next, Amy has Airi in some of her Buono! outfits. Amy takes a moment to ponder what her amusement over her blog post says about her… Well Amy, in my books, it tells me that you’re pretty awesome!

Pepper Keibu PV & clarifications on C-ute calender follow-up
Midori has watched Morning Musume’s latest PV and doesn’t have too much to say. She comments on line distribution, the costumes and dancing, but it seems like it hasn’t left too much of an impression on her. The one stand out point looks to be the pandas. Go Junjun and Linlin!
Up next, Midori has more comments on Airi’s dress from C-ute’s calendar, and actually it was me who was confused about comparing Airi’s dress to Makoto’s from Midori’s previous post. I don’t know what came over me, but I was thinking of Airi’s “Edo no Temari Uta II” costume, thus the confusion. I see the resemblance now. >_<
MorningBerryz / September 21st, 2008 / Blogs, Eyecandy, Hello! Project
Traditional Airi
A cute little entry here which poses the question regarding the definition of the style of traditional wardrobe worn by C-ute fan favorite Airiin. Natsu matsuri always features the far more “casual” and informal summer style kimono which typically displays a much simpler pattern than the traditional kimono…and we have one particular geisha doll in our home which is dressed in the full attire and not only are the layers complex but surely something like this cannot be worn in the summertime ever! You’d probably loose 5 pounds by means of sweating just walking from your zen rock garden to your bedroom!
While I’m definitely no expert on the classifications of traditional kimono I’d have to say these are yukata due to their much simpler nature but do give them a look here and not just for the brief Airiin eyecandy but also for clarification as I too am curious if this is correct.
I totally adore Airiin and her striking resemblance to a classmate of mine back in High School only adds to the fascination…was she Airiin’s long lost cousin?
Actually growing up in Hawaii so many of your classmates could’ve resembled someone worthy of H!P entrance….hmmm I’d scan in a photo of my Airiin look-a-alike classmate here but I feel that would be intruding and possibly unwelcome by her had she by chance stumbled upon it and thought…”Eh?!! what the @##$!! Pardon my French….(why do people say that? Did they invent the word?)
The final photo at the bottom is noted for it’s oddness and what it really looks like to me……..let’s see go back many years and reminisce about elementary school and placing those little sheer strips of colored paper upon an art piece via the delight of a glue and starch combination…paper mache magic! ^-^ Seriously though…who made that outfit?!!! O__o Kowaii!

Tokunaga Chinami’s Cellphone Stolen D: (H!P Fangirling like Nobody’s Business)
So, if any idols cell phone were to be stolen… (Cutie Party)
Amy is Going to Steal Risako’s Cellphone One Day (Merry Go Round)
DJ_MaiMai is bothered by the incident and hopes for some sort of punishment for the thief. Still, almost begrudgingly, DJ_MaiMai admits it is nice to see the girls acting normal.
Misa at Cutie Party and Amy at Merry Go Round respond to CFB. Shockingly, Misa chooses Yoshizawa Hitomi. But she has her reasons and explains them well. Shockingly, and that is a sincere one, Amy picked Sugaya Risako and not Suzuki Airi. Her reasoning is that Airi wouldn’t be taking pictures of herself. Uhhh, not sure about that one Amy!

Quick Update!
Amy keeps us updated on her school life as it stands, which is understandably busy. Whilst she reintroduces herself, she also states that she’ll hope to stay fairly active on her blog. Before declaring her love for C-ute’s Airi - again XD - she mentions her current status on the IW team. Yes Amy, congratulations, but also good luck. To be landed with Pengie as a mentor? The mind boggles O_O

No, REALLY.
I feel that the general consensus of the C-ute 2009 calendar cover was that it was absolutely ridiculous. Chiakii doesn’t really refute this, but still enjoys the cover. She likes the idea behind the cover even if it didn’t play out too well. And I agree with her that Arihara Kanna and, yes, even Nakajima Saki look good in those, as Chikaii puts it, “crazy clog-wearing-milkmaid-esque outfits.”

Too Long Have I Been Neglecting Buono
Recommended reading. After putting it aside for some time, Celestia finally gets around to taking a good look at Buono! and sets out to determine which of Buono!’s 4 singles is the “Buonoest” of them all.
This is quite an enjoyable read with some very amusing categories, for example: “Category 2: Largeness of Miyabi’s hair (PV)”. It’s quite sad that Miya failed Celestia in Gachinko’s PV. I realize it’s not big hair… But… Man was Miya looking gorgeous in that PV, large hair or not. The hotness factor should outweight largeness of hair… But that’s just me, and I’m slightly biased. XD
Celestia goes through a total of 10 categories and through thorough analysis comes to her final conclusion… Which single do you think is the Buonoest, and do you agree with Celestia’s results?

She’ll Kikkawa Your Ass
Amy has posted a bunch of picspam of Kikkawa Yuu quite simply because “She’s freaking hot!” Amy also explains why Yuu and Mitsui Aika are the only two H!P members to rival Amy’s devotion to Suzuki Airi. I’m not sure for which blogger Amy posted these to make feel better, but they are making me feel pretty good. Very cute!
And Amy, I love that article title!

Airi Suzuki #6
SB will be delighted - although I’m sure he’s already got this set - with these Airi Suzuki pictures, where she’s donning a cute little outfit, showing a lot of stomach and leg, and holding a long slithery tube spurting out liquids. Yes, I am ashamed of myself.

C-ute Calendar ‘09
Midori has many complaints regarding the supposed cover for C-ute’s 2009 calendar. It looks like Midori is holding out hope that this is a joke, and that a much better photo will be released at some point. She tears down each girl on the cover (even Maimi, simply due to her inability to fit in with the randomness that this photo embodies - I actually find it quite amusing that with the completely un-related outfits all the girls are wearing, Maimi is able to stand out with an especially random outfit).
Personally, I feel that if this actually is their calendar cover, this may be the karma coming around, because they’ve had some pretty awesome outfits in previous singles (please ignore ‘LALALA Shiawase no Uta’). Maybe the wardrobe department realized that they’ve been too kind to C-ute recently and felt the need to even things out a bit. XD

Slam that bass Baby!
Recommended ogling. zush shares screencaps from Part 2 of Buono!’s Making of Gachinko Ikou! from their latest Single V. I must say that Miya’s looing smashing in all of them. Also, where did this hat of Airi’s come from and why wasn’t she wearing it in the PV?

Buono! And Their New Kick-Ass Single, Gachinko de Ikou!” (CK’s H!P Blog)
..::Is This the End of Buono!::.. (Eternal ~♥~)
Gachinko de Ikou! (Shanimuni Paradise)
Recommended reading. CK has noticed that recently, H!P PVs have been appearing much closer to the actual release date of the single than they had been earlier in the year. I had actually been wondering what was taking the PV so long to come out before it appeared on Dohhhup! CK wasn’t originally too taken to this PV, but after a few plays, it grew on him, though he definitely seems to enjoy the song itself much more than the PV.
amyrulez of Eternal ~♥~ is liking the single, though he is does miss the mellow interlude found in previous Buono! releases. He enjoys the PV quite a bit, loving the more serious side of Airi, the constant bubbly Momoko and the perfection that is Miya (got that right! XD). However, I must say that I’m quite jealous that amyrulez can’t remember the last time he was bitten by a moqsuito. I was bitten more than 5 times just yesterday…
Tsukiki of Shanimuni Paraside has a new favourite Buono! PV. She likes the games, the dance and that there’s an actual band in this one. I understand that in ‘Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!’ they were just pretending to play, the ‘Honto no Jibun’ PV had a live band… The live band has been mentioned in a few of these reviews, and it just seems like ‘Honto no Jibun’ just keeps being overlooked. Tsukiki goes on to compliment how amazing the girls look in this video and how Momoko is acceptable to her in this video. I’d have to agree with her and say that it is Berryz that is keeping Momoko filled with helium. I don’t quite understand why they won’t let her sing normally in Berryz releases.

Gamer Ai + C-utie Drawings
Mars has the translation to an article with Morning Musume’s leader where she explains her love for video games. I remember there was an article a little while ago like this, where she talked about the kinds of games she likes to play. But I don’t remember if she said exactly which Final Fantasy games she liked best. I’d have to say that FFVIII was my favourite of the series due to the storyline, but FFX is up there for me too.
Up next, Mars has the girls of C-ute drawing their leader as well as a translation to their thoughts about their leader. I don’t know why, but I always get a kick reading about Maimi being an airhead. It’s just so cute!

Buono! - Gachinko de Ikou PV (Mayuge Beam!)
Gachinko de Ikou! Full PV by Buono! (Love マシーン)
Gachinko de Ikou! PV (「☆☆☆」)
I wasn’t gonna do this, but… (Aoi♥Usagi)
The Shifty World of ‘Buono!’ (itsumo genki)
Recommended reading. The PV for Buono!’s upcoming single has been up for a few days now, and many bloggers have something to say about it.
DJ_MaiMai at H!P Fangirling is absolutely loving the PV, though I got a little bit confused with the reference to a having non-H!P people being featured as a first… Has Buono!’s first single already been forgotten? XD As for a girl swooning when she sees a hot girl dress like a guy and pull it off, I had a male friend who was gay swoon over a female friend dressed as a male greaser… Opposite genders, but same principle. XD
James at Mayuge Beam! is worried about Buono! breaking up with the 1st season of Shugo Chara! coming to an end, but as mentioned in an earlier post here, Shugo Chara!’s going for a second season. He takes a look at the new arrangement of the girls in this PV (ie. Miya’s not in the middle here) and uses her role in previous PVs to explain her movement to front and centre, goes into a synopsis of the PV and takes a look at each of the girls. I was a little confused in his talk about Momoko… “She can NOT look cute EVER.” Is a word missing in this sentence? o_O And yes, Miya is totally hot in this PV…
markusantoine of Love マシーン has the PV embedded, and is amused by Momoko proclaiming herself as the leader of Buono! However, I have seen an interview with Buono! somewhere where Miyabi and Airi both said that Momoko was the leader (even though Airi jokingly [I think] said that Miya should really be the leader).
Bri of 「☆☆☆」 likes the mellow rock feel of the song, and proclaims it her new favourite Buono! single. She gives a list of what was written on the dart board and what each girl landed on during the dart throwing. I don’t quite see what she saw in regards to Miyabi’s attitude in the PV, but she’s loving Airi here (and in Buono! in general).
Usa-chan of Aoi♥Usagi feels obliged to review Buono!’s PV, for in the reviews she had read prior to her post, no one had mentioned a specific section that stood out to her. She looks at each of the girls and explains the role each girl plays to become the cohesive awesomeness that is Buono! She also goes over the dance and concept of the PV before giving us a screencap of why she wrote this review… I must say it’s a very cute screenshot.
isilwentari of itsumo genki loves the PV and the nonsensical pseudoplot. Buono! has not been a constant winner for isilwentari, but it looks like everything done in this release was done right. However, can you really blame them for mentioning “Kokoro no tamago” in multiple songs? If you’ve watched any Shugo Chara!, I don’t think anyone would question it. I mean, they’re a group that was made to sing for this anime… You need to make the references in the songs for it to stay relevant.

Gachinko de Ikou PV
Wendy of Renai Revolution 21 uses her loveable comedic touch to review the Gachinko de Ikou PV. She starts off by showing us how far Buono! has come in such a short amount of time, and I must say I am shocked having not thought about it that much. She moves on to explain how she feels about the PV in a short but effective way. I, personally, am really enjoying Buono’s switch from punk/pop to a more simple pop-style. It really does suit them better.

Shugo Chara! Magical Girl Anime’s 2nd Year Green-Lit
Obviously, most H!P fans know that Buono!’s latest PV is available for viewing, and multiple PV reactions have been posted. One thing I’ve noticed is that many people are fearing the end of Buono! because the anime’s supposedly coming to an end. That made me look in the archives of IW, and it seems this topic was never covered (this was announced on July 20) but…
Shugo Chara! has been given the green light for a second year. I haven’t heard any word of a new group being brought in to do the music for series, so I’d have to assume that Buono! will continue on doing their thing. Hope that helps to reassure Buono! fans.

Gachinko de Ikou! Full PV (Hello! Blog)
Buono! - Gachinko de Ikou! (Wotaku Now!)
I would play Buono! Pop-up Pirate (ChanceChanceBoogie)
The full version of Buono!’s new single, Gachinko de Ikou! premiered yesterday. While there hasn’t been an avalanche of blog reviews, the initial reaction has been positive overall.
Paul of Hello! Blog feels that Buono!’s perfect combination of fun, humour, cuteness and sexiness sets them apart from the other H!P units. He also notices a comedic dynamic that totally had me thinking of the Three Stooges (Miyabi-Moe, Airi-Larry, Momo-Curly, or Shempf) After giving it a few listens he feels this might be their best release to date.
Shirow feels the PV sticks to the usual Buono! formula. Highlights for him include Airi’s hotpants, Miyabi’s hotness in general, and Momoko’s dance routine which he titles the “special butt bash attack”
Max loves the song and the PV, but is troubled by the possible symbolism of the chalkboards at the end of the video. Could the coming end of the anime Buono! is associated with possibly mark the end of the group as well?
Personally I love the song and PV But Max’s “buzzkill” at the end of his post now has me worried. If UFA and Pony Canyon are smart, Buono! will be sticking around for a while.

Suzuki Airi to star in TV drama
It turns out Takahashi Ai and Niigaki Risa portraying Pink Lady is not the only H!P connection to the new drama Aku Yuu Monogatari, which I believe airs this Friday night. Suzuki Airi will also be playing a role in the show as Sakurada Junko, a young J-pop singer who debuted in the early 1970’s. Shirow has also embedded video of Airi’s performance alongside a clip of Junko herself. Airi with short hair initially surprised me. But actually she looks quite cute!
This is great news for many reasons. H!P often gets accused of being past their prime. So it’s nice to see multiple members cast to be in what I am sure will be a well-watched program. It’s a true testament to their talent. I can’t wait to see this show! Recommended.

Gachinko de Ikou! Radio Rip (Stardust)
A radio rip of Buono!’s 4th single “Gachinko do Ikou!” is up for your listening pleasure. I personally haven’t listened to it yet, but that’s because I don’t want to taint the lovely Miya’s voice with 64 kbps quality sound… That just won’t do. However, for those who are impatient and can’t wait for better quality, the blogs that have posted these songs seem to be enjoying it. I know I liked what I heard from the Shugo Chara ending theme.

Edo no Temari Uta II PV (H!P Fangirling like Nobody’s Business)
Edo no Temari Uta II is Better Than the Title (°Absol-ute °C-ute)
Let’s play handball (Shiny Days)
Edo no Temari Uta II (Kira Kira Bomb)
..::Too Bad It’s Too Short::.. (Eternal ~♥~)
Recommended reading. More bloggers have something to say regarding C-ute’s latest PV!
DJ_MaiMai of H!P Fangirling feels that C-ute is showing off some of their best stuff in this PV. Personally, I don’t get the problem with Chisato’s shoulder things. I think they add character to her outfit. XD But, Berryz as C-ute’s backup dancers? At a concert, maybe… And they’d switch off for each other. But in a single’s PV? Berryz did that back in the day for W, but they have seniority over C-ute. If anyone’s going to be doing back-up dancing in a PV, C-ute would be doing it for Berryz.
Despite her worry over the title of the song, Amimi of Absol-ute C-ute was happy to have her fears unfounded with the release of this single. In addition to the customary thoughts on the outfits, dance, etc., Amimi has and interesting interpretation of what the line distribution could mean… COuld it possibly foreshadow future leads for C-ute?
Charmy of Shiny Days is liking both the song and PV, but is a little disappointed that a certain H!P member is not featured on the background vocals.
Valentine of Kira Kira Bomb has one of the few reviews that I’ve read that isn’t impressed with the single. That’s not to say that she hates it, but it definitely hasn’t left much of an impression with her. She gives her reasoning as well as a final verdict. My favourite line is the last line in her review… I love the uncertainty in her question/comment.
-NEEDS MOAR TSUNKU?!
amyrulez of Eternal ~♥~ has a lengthy and indepth review of the single. He enjoyed the PV so much it brought him to tears. All of the girls were able to impress him in this release, which he seemed throughly surprised by. And it looks like he’s one of the few who likes Chisato’s pointy shoulder bits on her kimono.

Airi Conveys An Emotion
Amy shares a picture set of Suzuki Airi acting out various emotions. We get joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure. I’m not quite buying and “anger” shot as it’s the cutest look of anger I have ever seen! And what’s the difference between joy and pleasure? I’m not sure…and neither is Amy.
What Amy does know is that Airi’s best emotion seems to be when food is in front of her. Anyone who has seen the photos from Cafe Buono! would surely agree!

They Shoot Saki’s, Don’t They? ~ The Nakayoshi Battle Concert
Recommended reading. CK’s copy of the battle concert has arrived and he quickly gets down to business, determining who won the battle. He breaks the concert down into rounds, tallying winners for each round. Leading into his review, he points out that though his favourite H!P Kid is from the C-ute camp, as a whole, he prefers Berryz Koubou over C-ute… How will this affect his judging throughout the concert?
One thing that CK mentions is the bashing that the youngest Berryz member, Risako, often gets.
“She gets bashed a lot on the posts. A lot more criticism than she deserves. Jeez, she’s just fourteen years old for cripes sake! Give her a break.”
I’m guilty of Risako bashing at times, but using her age as a factor to defend her shaky performances is a little bit weak, seeing as she performed “Very Beauty” with her good buddy Airi who just so happens to be the same age as little Risako, and as CK puts it, “Airi was just amazing on this song!!!”
Overall, this is a fun, enthusiastic and amusing review. Want to know who won the battle? You’ll just have to read on to find out!

Edo no Temari Uta II PV (Strawberrie)
Edo no Temari Uta II (The J-Pex)
°C-ute : Edo No Temari Uta II Clip (Hello!Musume)
C-utes latest single - Edo no Temari Uta II (Wotaku Now!)
Edo no Temari Uta II First Thoughts (Shanimuni Paradise)
This. Is. AWESOME. (Aoi♥Usagi)
C-ute plays handball (hajimete no ROCK CONCERT)
Recommended reading. C-ute’s latest PV is up, and bloggers have lots to say about it already!
Strawberrie doesn’t have much in terms of commentary, but has a lot of screencaps and a link to the video on DohhhUP!
Pex is liking the new PV, what with the bright colours and interesting costumes. I agree with Pex in loving Chisato’s outfit the best. What’s fun with this post is that we get to see the beginnings of a new fan coming in the C-ute fandom!
Hello!Musume finds that there is only one downfall to this single/PV… And that’s it length. Also, a few subliminal advertising messages are pointed out… I didn’t notice those before.. But then again, I’ve only watched this PV once so far.. I need to rectify that.
Shirow of Wotaku Now! got a nice surprise when he woke up. Shirow’s got a different standpoint from most others that I’ve heard. While he wouldn’t mind if the track were a bit longer, he still thinks “that every second of this is pure quality, like most things in life I prefare them to be short and sweet as opposed to drawn out and medicore affair.” However, Shirow does not agree with mine and Pex’s opinion regarding Chisato’s outfit. XD
Our Tsukiki is unsure of how she feels about the PV. She lists off the pros and cons that she’s noticed, but in the end, she can’t quite figure out if she likes it or not.
Usa-chan of Aoi♥Usagi I absolutely loving this PV. She’s got screen caps of the girls, and gives a run down of each girl within the PV. Heck, she’s even liking NakaSaki! My favourite part of this post had to do with Chisato (surprise surprise)…
Ah, Chiisan. With your voice that sounds like a 80-year old woman who has smoked a pack a day her whole life… and still just happens to be a kick-ass singer.
Our pengie has screencaps and snark mixed in with her review, which is always great fun! She’s liking the unique sound this single has, and the girls are all looking pretty good… The only negative comment on that front is directed at little Maimai, who pengie feels looks like a six-year-old. I’m sure there’s someone out there who would enjoy that… HEY SEC… Nah, I won’t go there… XD

Saki, you sexy beast!
Recommended reading. Usa-chan has a track by track review of the H!P Kids battle concert, and if you couldn’t tell by the title of her post, she was loving the performance of “Natsu Doki Lipstick”. I’ve noticed that there seems to be a concensus on Chinami owning Dschinghis Khan, whether it be in the PV or in live performances.
What amused me in this review was her monitoring of Miyabi’s hairdo. As much as I love Miya, I have to agree with Usa-chan… Her hair was something else in this concert… The first time I saw her hair, I cringed. That couldn’t have been fun to comb out afterwards. XD

~Berryz Kamen vs Cutie Ranger~ Concert Review
Recommended reading. Our Celestia has watched the H!P Kids concert extravaganza and was not disappointed. She likes that the battle concert places the two groups on a level playing field, even though Berryz will always have seniority over C-ute simply because they debuted as a group a few years earlier.
Celestia makes a passing comment about whether the Berryz girls are truly happy for their H!P Kids group counterpart, and it’s a legitimate question… I’ve often wondered about that myself.
Celestia then goes over the concert track by track, giving the highs and lows of each number. And, as in her usual concert review fashion, she names a “winner” for each performance. Who comes out on top in this concert? You’ll have to read on to find out!

Berikyuu! Idol The Final Results! ^-^
MorningBerryz closes out the Berikyuu! Idol contest and announces both the winning idol and the lucky participant who correctly guessed both the finalists and the eventual winner. Am I surprised at who won? Yes, and no… But you know, now that I think about it, I don’t think I ever got around to voting. The final two performances really left me torn on who to vote for… XD

Berryz Koubou & °C-ute Nakayoshi Battle Concert Review
First of those Berryz Kobo’s & C-ute’s battle concert tour DVDs is now out and ready for heavy watching. Well, at least I speak for myself and our very own maiZe. In fact she has already been watching this C-ute’s edition of DVD more often than I what surprises me a bit.
In her very detailed review maiZe goes through the whole entertaining package. Not a surprise that Miya gets lot of kudos from her while Risako ruins almost all she touches. For example: maiZe thinks that Rii completely destroys Very Beauty, the song she sings with Airi.
“She (Rii) looks a little drunk as walks unsteadily down the steps at the start of the song. I’ve read other reviews saying that Risako has improved, but really, I find her voice just isn’t stable enough for this song. Her vocal control is horrible for the sustained notes.”
In spite of Rii’s bad appearance maiZe finds this concert DVD quite satisfying & entertaining. By the way, BK’s edition of this double DVD is goiing to be released on July 16.

Berikyuu! Idol “The Final Two.”
Berikyuu Idol is back with the final showdown! Starting with 14 girls, we’re down to 1 girl from each of the H!P Kids groups. With my favourite girl out of the running, I’m quite interested to see how this final vote will go. I’m still trying to decide who to vote for. Voting is open until midnight of July 11, so you’ve got some time to make your choice… Who will be the first Berikyuu Idol? Suzuki Airi or Tsugunaga Momoko?

UTB Vol.186
Tom has scans of various Hello! Project members and groups from a recent UTB magazine. There’s coverage of a whole range of H!P acts - Berryz Koubou and C-ute, Buono!, Milky Way, Manoeri, Kusumi Koharu and Suzuki Airi. I’m particularly loving the intro page for Buono!’s write up. Those ‘Kiss!Kiss!Kiss!’ outfits will never get old for me.

Tsuugaku Vector ☂
It seems I missed the moving of Tsuugaku Vector ☂ to wordpress in the previous relocated blogs round up. This is definitely one blog I don’t want people to miss out on, because much like my philosophy regarding Miyabi, I’d say a lot of people can’t get enough of Airi.

O 46, 46, wherefore art thou, 46…
Lesbian Lumberjack Love Song II
Our own pengie has some thoughts on the beginnings and endings of life in Hello! Project.
In the first post, she is trying to rekindle her interest in the H!P Taiwan auditions. It seems as though pengie can’t find her initial pick, but still gives us her top four from the finalists thus far.
In the second post, pengie gives us her thoughts on C-ute’s upcoming single. Looking at a screencap of the girls in their outfits for this single (I am assuming that this is for a TV spot promoting the single), she takes a deeper look at what’s going on and speculates on Kanna’s future in the group. Much lulzing within.

Renai Revolution 21
Go go! Cutie Party
A few blogs formerly housed on vox have made the move over to wordpress. Max of ChanceChanceBoogie, Wendy of Renai Revolution 21 and Misa of Cutie Party have started anew and the blogs are looking quite snazzy.
Misa has one post in particular that I want to highlight with pics of the outfits for C-ute’s upcoming single ‘Edo no Temari Uta II’. Airi and Maimi have funny pink and red blob things on their heads, but I just really need to point out that Chisato’s looking really nice in these pics. Chisa, they better have given you some lines in this release!!! Recommended ogling.

C-ute Plugging Manoeri
Looks like C-ute are helping their fellow H!P member, Mano Erina, as she starts off her solo career. broomhead shares photos of the girls’ endorsing messages (at least I think that what they are… Well, they’re at least wearing ‘Erina’ shirts), and finds it unfair that Kanna’s new hairstyle is quite similar to that of Nocchi’s from Perfume. How can one resist such underhanded, but effective, tactics? XD

MOAR AIRI PICTARS
Airi’s Singing Throughout the Years
Cha-cha-change!
Recommended ogling/viewing/listening. Airiroo has undergone a name change and is now known as Tsuugaku Vector ☂!
The first post has some adorable Airi eyecandy. You simply can’t go wrong with Airi in her 3rd Love Escalation outfit. The wardrobe staff definitely show C-ute lots of love.
The second post takes us on the journey of Airi’s career in H!P thus far. Amimi has posted videos of singing over the years. Personally, I think she sounded better when she was younger. That’s not to say she sounds bad now, for I still love her to death… But her voice has gotten more nasal over the years. Now Airi in ‘First Kiss’, that’s golden.
The third post announces the blog’s name change as well as has more Airi eyecandy. Airi dressed as a kappa is one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen!
