   Wow…..0____0 I don’t stand a ///chance///. I’m so humbled to be nominated and included in the same league as some of my favorite bloggers. And to think I never used to believe all those celebrities who always said “it’s an honor just to be nominated”.

   Thanks for everyone’s hard work at putting all this together.

   And I was ecstatic till I saw who I’m up against. ZOMGAH. Every other blog is like super popular. O_O Nonetheless (3 seconds to cheesy line), it’s already an achievement to be nominated! xD

   Ah well then. Yoroshiku everyone! Please find it in your heart to vote for my very non-H!P blog. xD

   Wow, I did not expect to see my blog here at all! I even made a conscious choice to not recommend my blog for this, as I thought “if no one but me remembers it anyway, who’ll vote for it either?” Well, I’m glad someone did. Like Vee said, it’s an honor to even be nominated. Feels great.

   Just a minor word of complaint: the person who did nominate me is kind of a meanie for making me a nominee in “Best H!P Blog” category but not the “Best New Blog” category. I mean, even my chances of winning best new blog are slim at best, but best H!P blog overall?! That’s brutal! But whatever, I’m just glad to be in it.

   In any case, good luck to all!

   You’re kidding me - I’m in the same league as Go, Ray, pengie, and CJ? We will forgive me when I have to ask if this isn’t a very early April Fool’s joke, yes? The pinching doesn’t seem to be working.

   Much thanks to the judges for coming up with this list, best of luck to all nominees, and now I do believe I shall entertain myself by reading through some great blogs all over again.

    Any particular reason why the nominated blogs/entries aren’t in alphaetical order? Feels like that would make more sense to me…

    Wow. I’m pretty surprised. I still feel like I’m defining why I am even blogging and here are these nominations. Thanks for putting me up here and good luck to all.

    This whole awards thing speaks to the success of Intlwota though. It’s come a long way since Feed of Pop and pretty much has its own little community. Finding out the winners will be fun. As for the awards celebration (I hear there will be cake), everyone keep your acceptance speeches short. Melon Kinenbi will be performing and they are tired of getting shafted.

    Also, Ikimasshoi, nominated for Best Established Blog, has no current home or link. Comedy.

    This is just such a great list of blogs - pretty much J-Pop (or at least H!P…) 101 can be found on this page. Even a pretty great cross-section on different writing styles. Truly prestigious company. I’m so proud to be part of Intl Wota now.

    @ Kd - I have to wonder the same thing…Ray, is there any reason the nominees are listed the way they are?

    About the listing order: Honestly, when I did the tally of nominees, I just stuck with the order I had placed them in as I started putting it together. So they’re actually mostly listed in the order that the nominations came up first, looking through the judges’ lists.

    I now see that American Wota’d be first in two listings if we went alphabetical, which provokes mixed feelings at best.

    This is just a sort of (emphasis on sort of, meaning I am pretty damn sure) wild guess on my part, but Vee is so Pwning the first category. xD

    Just a question. Do we vote in our own category? I don’t see how that could be fair. xD Even if you disallow one to vote for their own blog, they could always vote for the one they think is least likely to win and thus screw up the whole thing.

    But that’s probably just me and my scheminess, if there was such a thing.

    I addressed your questions in the update - yes, you can vote in a category where you’re the nominee, and yes you can vote for yourself. I don’t think that’ll skew things in a negative way.

    @Raid: NO U. D: I’m scared to death of winning. It’s so much PRESSURE to perform in the future, you know? I could go on a tear about reasons why I, personally, think I don’t have a chance, but then I’d eventually get to why I have a love/hate relationship with peer-merit awards in the first place.

    I hate to use the tired old “WE’RE ALL WINNERS” thing, but you guys. I check Intl Wota every single day and there’s ALWAYS something worth reading. This is an amazing group of writers/J-Pop lovers.

    @Kimitsu: I think you’ve got it backwards. I’m in the same league as you? That’s crazy. I don’t consider myself worthy of being on that list at all.

    Um, I’ve missed a lot of this due to school crazies, but I’ll try to vote. Thanks to those of you who nominated me twice, that was a big surprise.
