IW Charity Auction: Featured Item #60 & 61 – Tanaka Reina Hand Fan

Tanaka Reina Hand Fan and another one from Ray of American Wota
North American auction, ends Apr 26th @ 9pm EDT

Small Tanaka Reina hand fan; back of the fan has Alo-Hello logo. Dimensions: roughly 4 1/2 inches at widest, 4 inches in height (not counting fan handle), 2 1/2 inch handle. Two of this item are available, listed in separate auctions. Both have crease across Reina’s face from the way the fans were produced. Bought from the Hello! Project Information Village in Waikiki, Hawaii around 2005. A great addition to your Jpop collection! This auction item available only in United States and Canada.

I couldn’t believe I had two of these. I mean, really? Couldn’t I have picked up a Tsuji fan instead, or a Konno? (Hey, wait, DID I pick up a Tsuji fan at some point…? Maybe I should dig around some more.) Anyway, I look at these fans and see how cute Reina was when she was relatively new to the group, and remember, “Oh yeah, THAT’S what I fell for!” Anyway, these ARE pretty nifty and quirky, and while the crease across Reina’s face in both is unfortunate, it’s not noticeable from even a short distance and is a consequence of how it’s made. (Kago’s face lays between the creases, FYI.) She’s become one of the most integral members of Morning Musume, and these fans are a nice reminder of her humble origins. And yes, you CAN fan yourself with it!

IW Charity Auction: Featured Item #59 – Morning Musume Lanyard

Morning Musume Lanyard from Ray of American Wota
North American auction, ends Apr 26th @ 9pm EDT

Morning Musume lanyard, with small photographic insert of the group from “Egao Yes Nude” era. Bought from the temporary Hello! Project Information Village in Waikiki, Hawaii during an Alo-Hello fanclub tour. A great addition to your Jpop collection! This auction item available only in United States and Canada.

This one came from my Alo-Hello Raid With Haruna. I bought two of these lanyards and actually use one of them still, it holds some keys and has lasted a good while. That’s why there are two copies of the Morning Musume photo in the auction, I didn’t need that dangling next to my keys. I remember people on the Alo-Hello tour actually using the lanyards to carry their credentials, so there’s a definite utility to these things – but let’s face it, if you’re getting this, it’s more likely for decorative purposes. (Though like I said, they’re quite sturdy!)

IW Charity Auction: Featured Item #58 – Eleven Melon Kinenbi Official H!P Photographs

Eleven Melon Kinenbi Official Hello! Project Photographs from Ray of American Wota
North American auction, ends Apr 26th @ 9pm EDT

Set of Eleven Melon Kinenbi Official Hello! Project Photographs. One group shot, five of Ohtani Masae, two of Saito Hitomi, one of Shibata Ayumi, two of Murata Megumi. Dimensions 6 inch by 4 inch. Bought from the Hello! Project Information Village in Waikiki, Hawaii. A great addition to your Jpop collection! This auction item available only in United States and Canada.

These came from the Royal Hawaiian Alo-Hello store, with MK in their H!P All-Stars Uniform in some shots, which helps date them somewhat. My bias for certain members is pretty freakin’ obvious from the distribution of solo photographs – Masae was always my favorite, Shibata my least. (Though not in the sense that I disliked Shibata, I just found the others more engaging for some reason.) I find it funny that of all the photographs I collected, it was Melon Kinenbi I have the most of at this point. And now that the group has gone their separate ways, this is a nice reminder of a bygone era.

IW Charity Auction: Featured Item #57 – Kago Ai Hand Fan

Kago Ai Hand Fan from Ray of American Wota
North American auction, ends Apr 26th @ 9pm EDT

Small Kago Ai hand fan; back of the fan has Alo-Hello logo. Dimensions: roughly 4 1/2 inches at widest, 4 inches in height (not counting fan handle), 2 1/2 inch
handle. Bought from the Hello! Project Information Village in Waikiki, Hawaii around 2005.

A great addition to your Jpop collection! This auction item available only in United States and Canada.

This is a very cute item, and Kago still had vestiges of her pedoliciousness at the time these were released. As far as fans work, this does work – wave it vigorously enough and you’ll get a nice small breeze directed your way. I can say the same things about the bumper stickers, though. Or the photographs. So let’s face it – this is for Kago lovers who want something different from just a plain photo, practical uses be damned! Be a fan with a fan! You can stick it with your H!P pens and pencils and chopsticks in a big circular pen holder or something, and it’ll still stand out! And it’s also a great reminder of when W was still poised to conquer the idol world – which we all know was just a matter of time.

IW Charity Auction: Featured Item #56 – Two H!P Bumper Stickers (Nacchi and MK)

Two Hello! Project Bumper Stickers (Natsumi Abe and Melon Kinenbi) from Ray of American Wota North American auction, ends Apr 26th @ 9pm EDT Bumper stickers of Abe Natsumi and Melon Kinenbi. Dimensions 10 inch by 5 inch. Bought from the Hello! Project Information Village in Waikiki, Hawaii around 2005. A great addition to your Jpop collection! This auction item available only in United States and Canada. These are pretty nice. It helps if you’re a Nacchi and/or Melon fan, of course. I didn’t have a car in Hawaii, so I don’t know what I was thinking. But these would look just as good on your wall as on your car, and will likely last longer, too.

IW Charity Auction: Featured Item #55 – Two Matsuura Aya Official H!P Photogaphs

Two Matsuura Aya Official Hello! Project Photogaphs from Ray of American Wota
North American auction, ends Apr 26th @ 9pm EDT

A set of two Matsuura Aya Official Hello! Project Photogaphs. These photos use a Hawaiian Alo Hello theme, with Ayaya posing with an Alo-Hello sign in one of them. Dimensions 6 inch by 4 inch. A great addition to your Jpop collection! This auction item available only in United States and Canada.

If you’re a long-time fan of something, this will happen inevitably: you find unexpected troves of old stuff you bought and forgot you had. This happened to me while preparing to ship out the earlier auction items, and I figured, “God is telling me to put this stuff up for auction, too.” (Well, most of it. I’m holding onto a couple of items still. God will understand.) Some of it came from when Hello! Project kept a permanent Information Village in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center; other items came from when my family crashed the temporary Alo-Hello store during one of Morning Musume’s tours. Look at how small Haruna is in those pics! And how skinny I was! (Relatively speaking.)

I have no idea what happened with the third Ayaya pic from this series, since the old pics indicate there was a third. But these two are pretty nifty on their own, as far as I’m concerned.

Authentically signed card is in immaculate condition and most suitable for immediate framing for any BK♥ fan =)♥!

We’ve been letting MB doing the heavy lifting with her own charity auction posts, but let’s take the time now to thank her with the deepest gratitude and appreciation for the generosity of her contributions. She not only provided some of the most unique offerings for the auction, but she’s doing so from Hawaii – and of course, paying the shipping!

And this particular item is pretty timely, because you’re NOT GOING TO GET MAIHA’S AUTOGRAPH IN SEATTLE. This is a hardcore Berryz longtime fan Get’s, back when the group was fresh and new and very very VERY young.

This single was the last for original member Fukuda Asuka and remains to date to include a rare Tsunku gem in “Never Forget” which was specifically written for a graduating girl~. IW Charity Auction: Featured Item #52 – Morning Musume Glass and Coaster Set

Morning Musume Glass and Coaster Set from MorningBerryz of モーニングBerryz48
North American auction, ends Apr 26th @ 9pm EDT

Morning Musume glass & coaster set. New, never opened. A great addition to your Jpop collection! This auction item available only in United States and Canada.

And here is MB’s excellent write-up on her auction offerings:

Morning Musume, C~ute and Berryz Koubou each released glass and coaster sets in the Winter of 2007 and these were produced in limited quantities. The glass is really pretty and measures a tall 7 1/8 “s making it perfect to enjoy your favorite juice, beer or even wine although it’s not really a wine glass…something I’ve proved a few times to not matter one bit :P ! A great addition to your Jpop collection! This auction item available only in United States and Canada.

And here is MB’s excellent write-up on her auction offerings:

Gosh is there any popularity or sales record that the J~rock legendary B’z haven’t held at one time or another?! And to appease their legions of dedicated fans, in the Summer~Fall of 98’ the B’z released two consecutive mega~hit best of albums♥ the first of which included a LE first press puzzle (unassembled in an outer box) which remains as one of the more unique and creative extra goods I’ve yet seen to date and even rarer is the assembled puzzle photographed above which depicts a wonderfully colorful collage where the guys themselves appear in an array of walks of life. The puzzle version included with the first press editions of “B’z The Best Pleasure” depicts a side view while this version depicts a “straight~ahead” view and this assembled puzzle (not glued though, you can take it apart and drive your brain wacky to enjoyment’s extent putting it back together!!….lol I’m notably terrible at puzzles….see SPEED post :P ) comes packaged as a display piece housed against a thick cardboard and protected by an outer re~sealable plastic.
