It’s rare to see one Okamoto Rei pictorial released, never mind two – but it looks like she’s promoting a photobook called OKAMO which is due in a couple weeks. Rei is as lovely as ever, of course, and apparently playing the tourist in the tradition of many photobooks. However – and I can’t believe I’m saying this – I would gladly trade in any number of Okarei eyecandy products if she would only release a second album. I know, I know, my priorities are messed up – but her debut album remains one of my favorites and it’s disappointing she hasn’t done a follow-up yet.

I must confess to being very very impressed by Dae Lee’s attention to detail here, taking wota semiotics up a notch or two. And hey, doesn’t that second post remind you of that Salvador Dali image of seven naked women posed to look like a human skull? And who do you think is the Dali fan in the group, Yuka or Kanon? My money’s on Kanon.

And what else is hidden in the other album covers? An H.R. Giger homage, a Max Ernst tribute? Must… look… closer…

Funny thing about Suzuka – I own some of her gravure products and really enjoy her eyecandy work, but I never seem to recognize her right away. It’s always, “Oh, she’s real cute, kind of like an improved Suzuki Airi… Oh! Suzuka! I should’ve known.” So it isn’t that she fails to make an impression, it’s that the impression fails to stick.

Fuck Yeah, Johnny’s Drag

The title says it all. There is so much tranny goodness here, I just about popped a… well, never mind what I popped. Among the recent highlights are Shingo as a hawt blonde, this wonderful Cher joke, a One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest Joke, and some Nino French maid goodness. The captions are often funny and savvy, and the pictures… I mean, look at that Shingo one! If that doesn’t make you switch teams, what the heck will?

Hello! Project 2011 WINTER~Kangei Shinsen Matsuri~

This is a wonderful post from Aprilis, and her first live experience with a Hello! Project concert. And what a concert it is! This is the last one for the three most recent Momusu evictees, and where ninth gen was announced. The post is well-detailed and fair in its criticisms, as one always expects from a Channel-Ai post, finding both the good and the not-so-good in each act. Of particular interest would be her assessment of ninth gen and how they introduced themselves.

Hopefully Aprilis will be attending many more concerts while in Japan and will share those experiences as well.
